Booty Night with the Charlotte Checkers to raise money for cancer research

Howdy all. I wasn't sure where to post this so I put it in a couple of places... thanks to the mods for letting me getting it in the right spot. The Charlotte Checkers have given me the opportunity to turn the March 27th game into a fundraiser for 24 Hours of Booty. 24 Hours of Booty raises funds for cancer research and is a great event held in July. Last year, $1.3 Million was raised via this event for cancer research. We will have a booth at the game to talk about the event and to solicit donations, but we will also have available discount tickets that can be purchased thru the Checkers to help raise funds as well. For those not aware of the deal, you can get a $20 Attack Zone ticket for $15 bucks for that night if you purchase thru the link below. Of the $15, $6 will be donated to cancer research thru 24 Hours of Booty. Thanks for the sticky PuckIt! It is going to be a great event. I have a thank you to say to one of the fine LGC'ers who made a very kind donation today. I will not name names (unless you want huge good kharma and love and admiration from all), but if a little "challenge" came up between the LGC group in support of this great cause, I couldn't be happier.

My inspiration behind doing this is that I lost my father to cancer and my mom beat breast cancer. After going thru that as a family, I saw just how many of those around me had been touched by this horrible disease thru their support. That was the idea behind the name of our team name, Six Degrees. I don't know a single person who can play the "Six Degrees" game and not be touched by cancer within just a step or two. If you have been touched, find a way to give back. Donate to this cause, donate to another cause, volunteer, just do something, anything. It will be more appreciated than you ever know.
