Hey guys - Ryan Brown from atlanta called me today and wanted to know if we were interested in coming back next year for a road game. I told her yes because it was so much fun last time even though we lost. lol. Anyways, she's going to work up some stuff so we can sit closer next time and get us a crazy discount :) ( last time it was like 35 bucks to sit lower level - not too bad) I'll keep yall updated. Just wanted to get the word out and see how many people are interested, and if we should drive or pay to take a bus.
Have a great day!:laugh:TGIF!

depending on which weekend the trip is we would likely go, 2 of us, but we would drive, not ride a bus.

I think 'yes' to the group purchase is a pretty safe bet. Depending on the schedule, I'd love to go again if schedule permits, but I probaly would NOT be interested in bus either; I'd drive separately as well.

^ I'm in the same boat as LTD. Interested in group tickets (2) depending on the schedule. We would probably drive separately.

Two definitely interested. We'd probably drive or fly but I'd entertain the idea of a bus.

You can add about 10-12 to the list but I am not sure about the bus. Some of us who went last time decided we would need to make a 3-4 day weekend trip out it instead of just an overnighter.

1 definitely interested as long as A) it's on a weekend and I don't have to use a vacay day B) it's relatively cheap and C)...I can hitch and pay for gas :D

If the schedule works out, we would definitely be in. It would be at least 2 adults, 1 kid, 1 free baby but possibly more. We would drive separately though and stay longer so that we could do the aquarium and visit with some friends there.

Driving or bus might depend on money/schedule/who else was doing one or the other. All of these bus crashes scare the crap out of me, but I can be tempted by the thought of someone else driving. :)

Definitely plus 1 or maybe 2 or 3. I've done the drive twice and its not so bad....bus crashes do scare me....so i'm not 100% sure about that one...but i'm open :-D

Well, I was going to say yeah count me in. But now that SS says she wants to go..... Sorry SS I had to do it :)it was too easy. But seriously if the scheduling works out I'd like to do it. A last year when your dad 1st told me about the trip you were planning I wanted to go but I'd already had something planned for that weekend. So hopefully this year it will work out that I can go.

Count me in.. and depending on timing.. at least one,two or manybe even 3 more. I would drive. For some reason, renting a bus is VERY EXPENSIVE in NC...
Maybe we could even get a group discount at a hotel? Isn't there someone who has travel agent experience?

I've been wanting to get down to Atlanta for a game for a while so I'm probably in for a couple tickets. Although I think I'd drive down separately.

If the schedule works out, count 2. We didnt go last time but went a few years ago. That was a blast too.

my wife and I have never been to an away game. Add two more depending on schedule. We'd prefer a weekend game. I think from previous posts I recall there is an nice downtown hotel w/in walking distance of Phillips. If so, we'd want to stay there, hopefully with a group rate...

Where does the team stay now? They changed from the Westin, didn't they?

Last year (and I think in recent years) it was the Ritz.
The Westin is pretty much across the street in the same block (for reference).
The nice thing about ATL on the weekends is that you can get good rates on nice hotels all w/in walking distance.
+1-4 for me on a wknd ATL roadie.

The Sheraton in downtown isn't TOO TOO far from the CNN/Phillips area. My friend and I went for 5 days in March and stayed in the Sheraton downtown and still walked everywhere. I'm not sure about group discounts....but she gets a BANK discount for being an employee....I'll get her to ask her boss about a group discount if some of you don't mind a bit of a hilly walk :-D i know i need it so I don't mind haha

If weekend, I would be very interested.
I might be able to sway some others from doing Washington to Atlanta especially if we can get group tickets. So 1 for sure and possbily up to 8.

WOW already this much interest! That makes me excited -- i'll call her on Monday and let her know its a go, and see what kind of goodies she will hook us up with - and we want a weekend game (or over a holiday) -- Can't wait for next season! She did say on the message she'd let 2 of us ride the zamboni lol

I'd be interested, maybe even 2 of us, depending on dates. I can
pass the word along to the booster club, too.
