Just got my e-mail that the program catalog is online. Points expire after 12/31/09 so use them quickly.

Unfortunately, I'm getting a technical support error when I log on, so not off to a good start...

I was able to get in at first, and then got an error, but I haven't tried to get back in. Fun to see the swag though.

Some items look to be new, or just a smidge different, but a lot looks familiar.

It's working again now. I guess I won't be able to replace my broken clock, but a few new choices to help me move on...

Note to IE8 users - you need to use compatibility view to zoom on objects & get descriptions.

I had trouble using it on IE, but on FireFox it worked just fine.

I got the gym bad and the STH patch. Can't wait to get them.

I got in-- no prob-- just by clicking the link above. I haven't gotten an "official" Email, yet. I just can't decide what I want. :)

Why not give STH'ers a partial refund instead of giving us crap on AND off the ice.

Oh come on. Last year we got 2 tailgate chairs, the large portfolio pad, and the umbrella and we're very pleased with them. I wouldn't call them junk. It is a gift, after all . . . They don't have to do this at all.

KaniacFever
12-10-2009, 03:37 PM
I don't think they are junk. Last year we got the digital frame, tailgate chair, gym bag and 2 of the beach bags. Everything is really good quality. I was quite impressed.

I haven't been in to look yet, but I'll get on tonight and pick my stuff.

Do partial STH get to participate in this?

SouthernHockeyChick
12-10-2009, 07:13 PM
^Yep! They just get fewer points than full STHs.

Wow, I am super impressed! I personally think there is very little "junk" available. I like the selection, most of the stuff looks pretty quality and the point "prices" seem lower this year! Maybe I'm mis-remembering but, i seem to be able to get more than I did last year. The tailgate chairs are rated for up to 300 lbs....the cheapo ones you get a WalMart, which I would have expected these to be, are definitely not rated that high.

Good job, Canes! And this year I promise I won't even ***** about the distribution methods since last year turned out so well!!

kermelbar
12-10-2009, 07:16 PM
^^ As SHC said, yep! The points depend on the size of your package (hehehehe) and where your seats are. Last year, I was a 12-gamer in the upper bowl and I got one point. (I got a nice 5x7 picture frame.) This year, I'm a 12-gamer in the lower bowl and I get three points. (I'm debating between the gym bag and the toiletry bag.)

SoCalcaniac
12-10-2009, 09:11 PM
I don't think anything in either last year's selection or this year's is "junk". We have 28 points to use this year, I see some pretty neat stuff to pick out.

Last year we both got the Fossil men's & ladies watches with our points last year, along with the rolling cooler, gym bag, duffle bag, clock, digital picture frame the laptop bag and I know I'm missing something- but in any event, everything we picked out, has been put to through the paces, and all are still in working order; we had guests from PA over a couple weeks ago, and they loved the Digital Picture Frame. They're hoping the Pens take a cue and they get one for their STHer Christmas gift.

We ran out of points to get the tailgate chairs, so those are in the mix this year; I also like those stainless steel Koozies & the carry-on bag looks like it would match the duffle we got last year.

They took awhile to get it together, but I think it's clear they put some thought into the gifts and whoever the vendor is they're using for the gifts, at least they are of quality.

I totally agree with SHC- the distribution of the gifts last year was flawless. I am channeling good thoughts that it will happen like that again (PLEASE). :)

What were you expecting?

I really liked everything I got last year (sorry about your umbrella Art) and I too have been happy with the quality. Not sure what I'll get this year - we have fewer points, but 1 of the items we didn't even use yet from last year.

I have an addiction to bags (not the swanky kind that SoCal likes, lol) but backpacks, mini backpacks, daypacks, hydration packs, messenger bags, camera bags, etc. So I suspect I'll be getting another bag/pack.

We do not get to partake. We made the decision late, as we were going to downgrade and then decided after the fact that we were not. So we had a gap of about a month where I guess they didn't consider us a STH of any sort. Oh well.

We have 20 points to spend, so we split them up, I get 10 he gets 10. I've decided on the carry on bag, waiting on the slow poke to pick his. I told him if he don't choose something this weekend while I'm out of town, I'm choosing his. I did ask if I can bum a point from him so I can get the luggage tags too

Love the program and love the shwag.. but really, only two weeks (arguably the busiest two weeks of the year) to order or else you lose it?? Why is that necessary?

SoCalcaniac
12-11-2009, 10:48 AM
Shell, I agree on the "deadline" thing. Hub said they just sent this to us, and people have TONS going on at this time of year- what is the HURRY? Perhaps they have the "pick up date" already scheduled in their minds, and there must be a shipping deadline? I really don't know. I think we might see some people fall through the cracks because that deadline gets missed, which I am hoping doesn't happen. But you could see how it would. Ugh-oh.

E, thanks for busting me like my husband just did this week. Yes, my name is Socal, and I have a HUGE addiction to BAGS, and not just the swanky kind. So I just went into our 2nd spare room after getting marching orders from hub, after he went in looking for some of our clear storage containers for the holiday stuff that we will put up after his birthday next week, and there was my color coordinated stash of containers filled with bags. Computer bags, fall and spring and summer handbags, totebags, gym bags, single shoulder backpacks, full shoulder backpacks, and the various smartphone cases you can switch out from the Verizon store; and the growing collection of makeup bags. He has told me I should feel guilty about this overboard situation, and who in the ham sandwich needs bags for every occasion? ME. Seeing the new things they added for the gift program, made me giddy. He just rolled his eyes and said I have to get rid of at least 5 that I have in my storage closet. Heh. As if.

Well, in all fairness, it's three weeks, not two.

And for me personally, even with work and kid and family and travel considerations, the down time between Christmas and New Years will be a fine time to find the 15-30 minutes to look through a gift catalog for some free swag.

I will tell you all that I've completely obliterated the Canes beach bag we ordered last year. After toting it around all summer, we've carried it to all the games, and the top band that holds the drawstring is ripped all around the top. We've been holding it together for a few weeks now with duct tape. I might have to order two this time around.

I don't hoard handbags/purses, but, like NCC I love any kind of catch-all bag.

Even though I have a very serviceable, rolling computer bag, and the days of toting it on my shoulder are long gone..... I'm STILL planning to get the computer bag, 'cause it'll still be a good messenger bag..... to add to my collection of leather and canvas ones!

And several of y'all got the draw-string tote last year, and I didn't, and all of you commented on how roomy and convenient it is, so I'm adding that one to my list. :)

I placed my order last night. It didn't take five minutes, mostly because we only have 8 points and we already have some of the stuff in the 8 or under point categories, so our choices were somewhat limited. This is what the confirmation e-mail said about delivery and pick up:

Information regarding the delivery of your selections will be emailed in the first week of January, following the order deadline. Due to the lack of building availability to schedule a gift pickup event within the months of December through April, we have contracted our vendor to deliver the majority of the item selections from the catalog. All jerseys and autographed merchandise will be made available for pickup from the RBC Center. If you ordered any of these items, we will be in contact with you once more details become available

I have no downtime between xmas and ny. We only get 1 day off and are limited to an extra day of vacation to use. Sucks. :(

But to me, the thing would be that some might miss the deadline all together. I admit I didn't realize that was the date until someone posted it here.

Agreed. I won't speak for Shell who pointed out originally about the deadline, but that was my thought/post on the matter- if you factor in, people traveling, visitors, work, kids out of school, etc. that 12/31 deadline could totally blow right by.

For me, my last day of work is in an hour; I won't be back til after the New Year, but in the next few days- all hell breaks loose. So hopefully we'll decide on what we're picking with those 28 points.

E, I forgot how little free time you get during the holiday- bummer.

On the info about delivery that c-girl posted, Really there was no available day for the RBCC pick up? Seems odd, but I guess possible. Or maybe they didn't want to have to pay 2 or 3 workers at each pick up spot for gifts? I really thought they did a great job with the pick up, and then they had the refreshments and pee wees skating out there. It was well planned. Maybe they thought they couldn't manage a repeat.;)

We just get three points for our three seats so no chance to get the computer bag, but I would totally do that too! I wish you could roll over your points to accumulate more! My mom got the draw string tote last year and uses it as a diaper bag for Ryan so she totes that thing around constantly and it is still in great shape.

I'm trying to figure out what to get this year. I got a lot of the little stuff last year and don't need any more coolers or bags although I am considering the garment bag. Did they have it last year? (if so any good?) I'm tempted to get a jersey but why no black option?

So where are you guys going to view the gifts? We haven't received any communication about the program or the selections. When I go to the 'Account Manager' and plug in our account number, etc. I'm not seeing anything there to direct me to the incentive program or selections.

Well, I guess you never know what to expect with the *******s down on Edwards Mill Road. I called the place and got a guy to look into my problem. Long story short, we're not eligible for the incentive gifts. Although we paid in full before SAS and retained our same seats from the last couple of years, we didn't pay by March something or other so we're not eligible. Our account is ten years old and I'm at a loss for what logic there is to this bull****.

With the garbage on the ice this year and this, really, what is the incentive to come back!

I'm with NCC on this one-- it was clearly stated in the info put-out that there was deadline to at least make a deposit, in order to get the logo items.

To call them "the *******s down on Edwards Mill Road" is a little harsh, in this case.

Isn't the explanation that he didn't submit his paperwork before the deadline? I mean, I know it stinks because he decided to renew, but the point of a reward at a deadline is to give an incentive to submit it on time?

Here is the flyer that was sent at the time of renewal:

http://hurricanes.nhl.com/ext/IceYourPrice.pdf

From the PDF:

Based on overwhelmingly positive feedback from our Season Ticket Holders, the Season Ticket Holder Gift Incentive
Program is back for a second year. Some of the more popular items are guaranteed to be back and we’ll look to add
some additional ones, such as more tailgating items, based on customer feedback. You can qualify for this program by
placing a 30% deposit towards your 2009-10 season ticket package by March 16, 2009.

I understand that you paid in full since June, but the INCENTIVE was to get a 30% deposit down by March 16, 2009. I could be snarky and say that your logic for NOT putting down your deposit eludes me too.

The Canes held 30% deposits for those that "iced their price" for 3 additional months. They had our money, we did not. They got the interest on that money, we did not. They "rewarded" us "early birds" by giving us the swag.

If they gave anyone with a ticket plan the benefits that the "early birds" got, then what did *I* gain for giving up my money in March?

I mean - I get that you're disappointed, but that was the offer, right?

Last year I was in the same boat. I had season tickets since 1998, but because of some family issues I didn't decide to renew until the summer.

I had read the fine print and knew I wasn't entitled to the free stuff. I was bummed, but I knew the rules so I never complained.

Renewing this past season was a no-brainer for me, so they had my money in March and now I'm looking forward to my gym bag and STH patch :)

Remember y'all - only 2 more days to decide.

And I am having a HELLUVA time with my measly 6 points. Trying not to get a duplicate item that I already have (and taking up space). I decided on the stainless steel koozie but realized they would just take up space (it's time to declutter y'all!). I sometimes donate my item(s) to a silent auction but I noticed the "STH" logo is on most items so not sure I'd do that.

I'm thinking about the trunk organizer thing?

I'm so confused.

Might have been nice to have a sweatshirt or long sleeve T or scarf choices or something. I already have a wheeled cooler I've never used, a gym bag I've used about 3 times, a soft side cooler I use in the summer, and the sling bag that gets infrequent use.

KaniacFever

We picked ours over the weekend.

With our 20 points we selected:
carry on bag (for me)
tailgate chair (got one last year, so this will complete the set)
Luggage tags
STH patch x2 (why he picked this i have no clue)

I feel like i'm missing another 1 point item, but maybe not.

And now that you mentioned it, a sweatshirt would have been nice.

12-29-2009, 04:46 PM
I have already forgotten what we got with our 28 points but we did get the koozies and we also picked up the tailgate chairs and the umbrellas because we spent large last year on the watches, and that digital pic frame and such, and when it got down to the smaller pt items, we were running low....lol, but E, I think I'm liking that trunk organizer/cooler dealio. We picked that, because my Honda SUV needs something to keep the grocery bags organized and not sliding all over the trunk, we bought the one Honda offers for the car, however, it measures smaller than the dimensions listed for the Canes trunk organizer. So I'm really hoping it's of good quality.

I didn't think they were "crappy" in the sense of "poor quality", but just that they had to be framed to be displayed - and who has the room (or add'l money like SD said) to display ALL OF THOSE Lithos? Mine are all rolled up , taking up space and I haven't even picked up the last few year's worth. I plan to get rid of them at some point. So, to me, they were worthless.

My lithos are all rolled up in a big ol rubbermaid with all the other Canes stuff (rally towels, posters, bobbleheads, figurines, etc). I wouldn't mind taking 2 or 3 special ones, getting them signed by that player and hanging them. But jeez frames/formatting doesn't come cheap

I 2nd the blanket! (Although I do appreciate your artistry in painting the portraits, Lobster! And for those who don't know, watercoloring is one of the hardest painting mediums to master. As a costume designer, I wish I could be a better watercolorist, but these days I cheat and use colored pencils...)

We have a 'Canes fleece blanket, but it seems like I've used it mostly to cover the couch next to me so my pups can jump up and sit next to me... and... well.... their paws have kind of pilled it really badly and doesn't look that great anymore. (I know... I know... I shouldn't let them on the furniture, but I'm a soft touch-- I just love a sleeping dog snuggling beside me. :) )

We also play a game with the blanket called, "quilt rats," which I'm sure is also contributing to its demise!!!

You work is impressive!!

I'm sure the SuperDave didn't mean it like it may have sounded, he's certainly not the disparaging kind.

I see your point, that it's nice to have a series, but since I don't have the wallspace (or desire to have them all up if I did) and I'm not the trading kinda person they have just ended up rolled up and stuck in a drawer.

I wonder if they'll just use the gift vouchers for the STH gifts now (though I guess if they exclude people that miss the deadline, they will still need to give something).

I like them, Lobster! I only have a few signed, but either way they're nice work. (I'm not the original commenter, but I'm thinking it was more about the other teams giving out more for an STH gift than it was about these being crappy) I was looking forward to this year's :(

I appreciate the comments and certainly understand the cost/space issues!

Also, possibly over-sensitive to criticism, but it ain't easy being an artist (even when times are good!) and I do take pride in my work (as do most of us)...

Maybe, to make up for the slight, SD can contract you to do a water-color litho of him in his houdstooth hat, his crushed velvet, Canes Logoed dinner jacket, and a (replica) three wolf shirt.

I'm sure his wife would love to have it hanging over the fireplace in the family living room.

The only litho that I framed was Francis. I had it signed at a STH party when he was still playing and then it was off to Deck the Walls at Crabtree for framing. It wasn't as expensive as the team signed pennants I had them do, but they have a nice wood frame and UV glass since they sit on the 1st floor and do get some sunlight.

Wouldn't be SD's eyes if they didn't!

We haven't framed any of ours but we plan to. We have a spare room that will be an office-ish thing. We plan to paint it red and have a semi-Canes theme. But, it's lavender right now and we've been too lazy a** to get it done.

Seriously - does anyone have a room or space that they can dedicate the number of prints we've rec'd????

Not really related, but did not want to start a new thread.

I was just looking through our invoice on-line and noticed that they charge $21.50 per voucher. So with 4 vouchers per season tix x 2 = that comes to a total of $172. And here I thought this was a free benefit to STH. I likely knew and I am sure it was likely explained, but I swear I don't remember. My memory must be getting bad.

LeslieK

I was interested so I took a look at my invoice on-line. If you look at the detail (using my Upper Corner tickets as an example), the invoiced cost per reg ticket is $20 vs the listed price of $22. Invoiced cost per voucher is $21.50 vs listed price of $0.

$20.00*43 = $860
$21.50*4 = $86
Total cost = $946

$22*43 = $946

Looks like it's just a TM thing where they can't show a cost of $0.

2/9 vs. FL
2/13 vs. NJ

I recieved an e-mail prior to the Olympics saying that jerseys and autographed pucks had to be picked up at the arena on certain game dates. I didn't get either one, so I can't rememeber what they said they'd do if you didn't pick them up. It would probably be best to call a ticket rep.

For some odd reason I just happen to have that email still in my Outlook.

If you redeemed your Gift Incentive Program points for autographed items or jerseys, they will be made available for pickup at the 4 games listed below beginning with tonight's game vs. Florida

Tuesday, Feb. 9 vs. Florida
Saturday, Feb. 13 vs. NJ
Thursday, Mar. 4 vs. Ottawa
Thursday, Mar. 11 vs. Pittsburgh

These items can be picked up from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at our distribution station outside of the RBC Center in front of the Time Warner Cable Box Office. Your Season Ticket Holder ID card or a photo ID (as the STH of record) will be required for pickup.

All other Gift Incentive Program items will be shipped directly from our distributor beginning around mid-February. Some customers' packages may arrive earlier in the month than others, but we anticipate that all packages should arrive by the end of the month.

Please call 1-866-NHL-CANES (1-866-645-2263) during normal business hours with questions, and any available representative will be happy to assist you.

We appreciate your support!

I believe the said in that email they will hold on to the items not picked up and not mail them out; They had dates of pick up, I'd have to look for the email to say what dates. You probably should stop at Guest Services when you go back to the Arena.

Dear Socal Family:

Our records indicate that you redeemed some of your Gift Incentive Program points for the Hurricanes Tailgate Torch. We have recently been informed that, unfortunately, these items cannot be shipped by our vendor without incurring substantial additional shipping fees based on hazmat law. Consequently, this item will need to be picked up at the RBC Center.
The Tailgate Torch can be picked up on the distribution dates listed below from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at our distribution station outside of the RBC Center in front of the Time Warner Cable Box Office. Your Season Ticket Holder ID card or a photo ID (as the STH of record) will be required for pickup. Additionally, due to the nature of the item, we highly encourage patrons to arrive early enough to pick them up and return these items to the safety of their vehicle prior to entering the RBC Center. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this new procedure may cause.

Distribution Dates
Thursday, Mar. 4 vs. Ottawa
Thursday, Mar. 11 vs. Pittsburgh
Saturday, Mar. 13 vs. Phoenix

Please note that if you ordered autographed items or jerseys through the Gift Incentive Program, these items may also be picked up on these nights. All other Gift Incentive Program items are currently being shipped directly from our distributor and should be arriving soon.

SoCalcaniac
03-06-2010, 10:15 AM
Well, we got our stuff- apparently the FedEx dude was out and about til about 8pm last night. He/She delivered our four oversized boxes (2 tailgate chairs, 2 umbrellas, and a large box with all the other stuff- coolers, gym bags, luggage tags, beach bag, watch, CarGo Cooler, etc) and dumped them on our front porch, where they STAYED all night until I discovered them as I was getting ready to go to the gym this morning and walked down my driveway to get the paper. The doorbell clearly was never rung.:crazy:

We know it had to have been after 8pm, because we had gone out to dinner, and got home just around 8 and there was nothing on the front porch when we drove into the garage. We have motion lights and auto lighting outdoors, so you can see porch way before you even come into the cul-de-sac, and this dude literally piled all the boxes in front of our door visible to the street, and haphazardly stacked.

SO, after we opened our "presents" and Mr. Socal pulled out the receipt with all of our selections and I was doing the check off, we've determined of the 12 items we picked out, we got 3 things "wrong". The beach cinch bag turned into a very nice "man purse" for lack of a better word, the RED leather luggage tag set turned into BLACK, and the utility kit is now a mini cooler. All nice looking- and I think the man purse could actually be usefull for overnight travel, but not what we originally selected. The utility kit which I know hub was excited about but now can't remember exactly was in it, is the biggest disappointment; and I'm kinda irked we got black luggage tags, cause we have like 6 or 7 luggage tags that are black. Plus you can't even see the nice Canes logo on the tags. I'm guessing they did substitutions with the bags? or maybe with the luggage tags they just put in the wrong color.

Hopefully there weren't too many errors overall. All this stuff is free so I shouldn't complain; but I'll just say the go to the Arena and pick up your gear event that we had last season, is a far better idea.

So the heads up here is be aware that FedEx may deliver LATE into the evening, and they may not knock or ring the bell.

I bet they don't do this delivery thing ever again, and I'll personally be glad.

Spoke to my ticket rep, who just happened to call and check on us to see if "we got everything" because he knew we had lots of points to redeem. We hadn't planned on contacting the Canes on the Cinch Beach Bag that didn't make it in the 4 boxes or that the leather luggage tags were the wrong color, until the dust sorta settled; but I ended up telling him and then asked if they had extra bags there at the RBCC or the tags to switch out. Poor guy then tells me he's going to be the 'go to person' for all the errors and mis-shipped items. (low staffing levels- many doing multiple jobs)

Sooooo long story short, a call tag has been issued so we can return the black luggage tags and they're overnighting the Red tags and the bag and they'll be here tomorrow. There are apparently multiple issues like this. If they thought this was a cost savings potentially, I just don't see how that could be.

I would bet they'll go back to the way they did it last year. That was very well done.

I got my trunk thing yesterday as expected. It's really kinda cute. I have a small car (hatchback) and it fits nicely. I put it in this morning (left the soft sided cooler part out) and filled 1 section with the winter hats/mittens that I keep in the trunk for unexpectedly cold soccer fields and my rain gear in another section, leaving one empty. It's cute.

I do think that even me, with my measly points from the mezzanine is amassing a bit too much swag. I can't imagine what you Full STHs in snooterville have hiding in your closests. But I do tend to select (and re-select) coolers and bags of all sizes.

We got the email yesterday saying our swag would be delivered today, FedEx came this morning (our dude is there by 8:30am). I was out walking the dog and saw the truck coming, so I stopped, and as he drove by he slowed down and says 'I'm going to your house' Yeah, we, actually the boyfriend, gets a lot of sh!t delivered.

I picked out the carry on bag and let me just say, that is SA-WEET!!!! Its the perfect size for my 1-2 nighter trips I make every now and then. And its just really nice material wise and look wise. Very impressed with that.

We also got another tailgate chair, 2 luggage tags (we got the right color, red), and the 2 STH patches. So SuperDave i'm calling you. PM me if you still want a patch and we will work something out to get it to you.

I got an email when it was delivered too.

Last night mr ncc held the box hostage until I agreed to switch back to hockey from the Glee re-run.

.... and the youth hockey players, like my son, got free ice time for a game at the RBC Center to entertain people while they were there!:thumbsup::yippee:

Duh- I should've said that right off the bat. My husband and I had tons of fun watching all those kids skate on the ice. You could tell they were thrilled to be out there, and to me was a highlight and added to the fact that the pick up of the gifts went so smoothly, we were actually able to enjoy sitting and watching the kiddies have fun.

E, I'm really liking that CarGo "cooler" thing too. We put it in the back of my CRV, and I had to make a trip to Whole foods & Trader Joe's yesterday, and was able to put my 2 small WF's bags into that carrier (without the cooler part) and it sat securely in the back. We've done makeshift type things for that back of the car issue where things kinda roll around back there. It's kinda neat; convenient.

Yep, my nephew got to play. I went to pick up my loot, dropped it off at the car, came back inside and watched him play. Killed two birds with one stone.

Nada for me yet either. I seem to usually be one of the last ones to get things though. I figure if I'm still empty handed by next week, I'll call.

Well, I just got back from my appts and on our porch was the overnight package containing the Cinch Beach Bag and my RED luggage tags. The shipment is complete. WOOOHOOO. The prepaid shipping label for the black tags was also in the shipment too.

Now we just gotta pick up that tailgate torch at the game tomorrow and we're done with this exercise for the season.

The poor FedEx guy just dropped off our big box. I'm also impressed with the quality of the wheeled carry-on. It's a lot nicer than I expected it to be! We also got the utility kit, red luggage tags (that actually came red), tailgate apron, and several of the pens. I'm EXTREMELY pleased with the pens! They are really, really nice, smooth writers. Excellent. That was our fill-in item so we ordered multiples. There's only so much of this crap that I actually want but I can always use a pen!

Did anyone else get the apron? Was it supposed to be a set of two cause we got two of them.

I call it crap but really, this is all very nice stuff. I appreciate getting some benefits somewhere for my loyalty.
I love having all the stuff with "STH" on it because it seems sorta exclusive. But, I might actually be able to use some of this as gifts if it just had a regular logo.

I can't forget to pick that torch up, too.

Never did get the Email, but stuff arrived yesterday evening. All was as I ordered it, so other than apparently being one of the last ones on the list, I'm happy with the results.

All of our loot arrived last night. I'm really loving the messenger bag (can never have too many of those-- right, NCC??!! ) and the cinch sack (although, I liked last year's color design better). Mr. CL likes the design of the utility kit, too.

Did anyone else get the apron? Was it supposed to be a set of two cause we got two of them.

We got the apron -- there was just one.

Ok, the rest of my sh!t just got delivered. WOO HOO I LOVE the messenger bag! However, I ended up with extra stuff that I did not order. Guess I will talk to a rep tomorrow at the game and see if I need to turn it in or anything. Not that I mind the extra swag (apron is nice) but I would hate to think a STH is going without because I got their stuff by mistake. Fed Ex guy the last two weeks have been killing him-said it was Christmas all over again. I told him it was for us too but we appreciated his efforts.

I was very tempted to get the utility kit and I reallyreallyreally hope they have it next year -- I opted for the gym bag and it has arrived today. It's a really good looking bag and seems pretty sturdy. I have a Nike duffle bag I bought in Vegas years ago to pack crap home in and that duffle was really beat-up and long overdue for replacement.

And how awesome that the bag arrives just in time for my knee to return to working out!

OTB, you probably need to call them Monday & check on your order. A friend is in the same boat and they recommended calling.

And for anyone else who (like me) got extra swag they did not order, I talked to someone (ticket rep? not sure who the guy is) anyway, he said some things they had extras but others, they just ordered enough to cover what people selected. So they asked me to drop off some of the extra stuff I received but told me I could keep the apron. And no, they did not ask my name or anything-just told me to drop it at the security desk at the VIP entrance next time I was at the arena.

And no, I don't have a watch or bag--sorry OTB

When we got home from last night's game, went in through the gargage. When I went out to get the paper this morning, I had to step over the two boxes on my front porch from FedEx-- apparently they delivered our loot sometime after we left yesterday and I just saw it this morning. The swag is really pretty good and the watch is really very nice.

I just sent off my STH renewal info for '10-'11 and although I doubt this will be an issue for this season (as most of us will be getting our stuff in prior to May 14 to try to guarantee All-Star priority), I thought I'd perform the public service of pointing out that to qualify for the Gift Incentive Program, you must renew your season tickets by May 14.

on a positive note, I renewed this morning and upgraded one of my seats (I had one full season and another 26 game) to a full season -- so now i have two full seasons, and PJ informed me that my pricing would remain the same as my full season from last season, so I don't have to pay the new additional pricing for the upgraded seat!

I renewed Friday -- 26 games in Upper Corners North -- and I gave the 20% deposit, so I might get a dift.

I'm not thrilled about having to go up to 26 games when I won't be able to attend most of them, or moving away from 328 (for the $$ savings since I'm going 26), but I'll do it this year for ASG tickets.

I guess I'm a bit confused. I thought the 20% down by 5/14/2010 was to ensure gifts and payment in full by 5/14/2010 to ensure the opportunity to buy ASG tickets-- with the gift incentive as the lagniappe. I didn't think I could pay 20% and still get ASG guarantee??

I don't have the papers in front of me, but my understanding was 20% down by May 14:

1) Guarantees gift incentive
2) Guarantees ASG priority (depending on STH plan/ASG ticket availability, of course)

I don't think payment in full is required for anything.

You're correct, K. By putting-down the deposit, you're making an agreement to committing to paying in-full eventually, and that puts you in-line for ASG tkts. If you didn't pay in-full, you just had to be sure to include the paperwork for the payment plan.

In case it matters to anyone -- and I, for one, was a little panicked looking at my checking acct balance online today -- the Canes apparently ran my 20% deposit as soon as they got my paperwork. I had anticipated it being run on the 14th or early next week -- thankfully I had the money for it, but boy was I nervous when I just saw the total and didn't have time to look at the entries!

They always hit it as soon as they receive the paperwork. Atleast for me, it never fails, I submit the paperwork, no more than a week later, the credit card is hit. PK wants that money sitting in his account collecting interest, not ours.
