In one of the pictures where it shows Francis and the camera, it looks like, looking into the camera, that he has a big glove...The Hulk maybe? I don't know. But maybe their new slogan is "Bring It." because looking at his glove, again, it looks like he's signaling to the camera. Who knows.... :spin:

And I just thought of an idea for a slogan (don't know if this has been mentioned before): "Category 5 Hockey". However, that could be a center of ridicule also. If the 'Canes play like they did last year, some people could take the slogan and make it "Category 1 Hockey" or "Only a Tropical Depression".
Another idea I had at one point was for the slogan to be "You're in the Eye of the Storm". But the eye of a hurricane is calm, so that wouldn't work. I'm just throwin some ideas around. :spin:

Not bad Cane 2k1. The strongest part of a hurricane is the eyewall, that is where the most intense rain and winds are. You seem to be pretty good with slogans, try something with the eyewall!!!!

I LIKE Category 5 Hockey.........and doesn't Ronnie look mean and intimidating with the eyes and that big glove!!?? :spin: Bring on Tampa Bay...is it 9/25 yet??

I'm not watching much TV these days. Where (stations) are you seeing these commercials? I'll have to check with BretFan to see if he's seen anything lately since he's been watching baseball a lot these days.

They usually show the ads during Canes games, and occasionally on Fox 50...I remember them showing the "THIS is hockey!" ad with Ronnie during Seinfeld between 7 and 7:30 in the evening last season.

No one is seeing the new commercials yet, Rons#1. There's a thread in the "Hurricanes News" Forum up at the list of forums that discusses the new commecials that were cast with "Caniacs" and done in front of green screen, so no one really knows what the new theme/slogan is.

As far as when they'll be available, it appears that they will "debut" on the ch.com website in mid-September.

Maybe, "You've reached the eyewall". I don't know. :spin: I havn't come up with any others as of yet, though. I'll let everyone know when I do.

At the NC State footbal game last night, they showed a Hurricanes commercial. At the end they said "This is Hockey!"

Maybe they are just using this until the new one comes out.

It looked like different highlights, but I guess that would be easy to do.

Thanks NCCANES for the pic. THIS IS HOCKEY theme wasn't bad but it needed some more umph...if you know what I mean. I'm just hoping that whatever they have setup for the jumbotron is better than what they had last season....most of it was stinky...thank goodness we all are driven and love the game because there wasn't anything motivating that I can remember.

your pic doesn't come up for me (i don't even get an X box, i actually had to quote your reply to see that you had posted something, then copy and paste the url). geocities doesn't usually allow remote linking of images....you might want to just post the url and tell people to paste it into their browser to see the link.

it IS :cool:, btw.
