LOS ANGELES - The stars of the hit CBS sitcom "Everybody Loves Raymond (news - Y! TV)" will receive millions more in syndication moneys thanks to actor Ray Romano (news), according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Raymond" creator Phil Rosenthal, Romano and others agreed to give up 2 percent of their upcoming syndication profits so Patricia Heaton (news), Peter Boyle (news), Doris Roberts (news) and Brad Garrett (news) could split the money among themselves.
Each is expected to get as much as $7 million dollars from the syndication deal.
Garrett has been written out of the first episode because he refuses to rehearse. The Reporter said he is also being offered a raise to $250,000 an episode, up $85,000 from what he's making now.
The deal calls for Garrett to be paid the higher salary retroactively for at least the previous season. Garrett is still off the set until a deal is signed.
Earlier Romano said Garrett would return.
"You know we want him back as soon as he can get back. And, you know, we want everything back to normal and I'm sure it will be," Romano told the syndicated program "Entertainment Tonight."
