That he thinks he will be playing with Cole this season?

Wonder if Cole would move up to the first line? That would be a good line Cole-Francis-O'Neil. Or Unless Rod will center the 1st line? Which is very likely considering that last season Francis was supposed to play less games, since he wasn't able to do that, I'm sure he'll want to try to do the same thing this season? That would make since to let Rod Take over 1st line center job to get the "1st line" of the future going.

Then that leave the door wide open from 2nd line on down.

This route makes alittle since now. We have a Glut of centers and 3rd and 4th line guys. If Ron is going to play less games to stay healthier throughout the season it makes since that we have alot of depth at center. We didn't have it last year and Ron had to play alot more games than he wanted to.

Maybe things are starting to ad up???

I think the Brind'Amour-Cole line will progressively become the first line throughout the season. I think by season's end you'll see the first line being Cole-Brindy-O.
This transition should have happened last year...with our Captain playing in fewer and fewer games. The Brind'Amour line had already taken on a larger role than they had in the past...Of course, we all know what happened.
But at the start of the season the first should look like: O-Francis-Vrbata.

I guess we'll see...

Well, if you trust those message board types (hey...wait a minute... ;) ) then O'Neill did say that. The thought of Cole and O'Neill on a line together makes me kinda giddy. I really like the idea of a Cole-Brindy-O'Neill line. Plus it would shut up the people who say O can't score without Francis. And I think we need to be doing a little thinking about what happens when Ronnie leaves that big hole.

I agree Angie....I think O, Brindy and Erik on a line together would be an awesome scoring force for us.....and true what you said about Ronnie...O does need to prove that he can independently have a 50 goal season....I can't wait til the puck drops!! :spin:

But I was thinking more along the lines of a brand name. As in:

New from "Brin-dy-co-leo", more scoring bang for your bucks!

But I like the medical thing.
