Hey y'all. My search for a Jokinen Tshirt that began during the playoffs last year continues.
I've seen shirts in the Eye in the past, but only in XL. Last night I did my standard check and they had none. I'll ignore the fact that the sales person tried to convince me that they'd never had Jokinen Ts. I asked (like I do) if they'd be getting more in and she gave me the "probably not this season" line. Told me to check NHL.com (which is obviously the standard line since they tell me this each time).
So today I checked NHL.com (again) and only see Staal, Ward, and Brind'Amour Ts available. If someone knows where they might be hidden, please let me know.
The odd thing is that they have this cool feature at NHL shop where you can customize any T (short sleeve, long sleeve, hoody) with the logo and stuff on the back. But get this....when I put in Jokinen 36 it said "player names not available at this time". WTF? So I put in Jussi 36 and it worked, but I don't know, does that seem stupid?
And yeah - it's STOOOOOOPID, that the Eye staff has no clue about their own merchandise or what's available on NHL.com or what "probably" would happen. Additionally stupid that they don't think they'll order more Tshirts (it's February, not April) for their leading goal scorer.
Any sources for player Ts that I'm unaware of?

The only place to get player T's of any kind outside of The Eye is NHL.com as far as I know, which sucks. As you mentioned, they only have Rod, Staal, and Cam. The quality is also not the same as the ones in The Eye. I know this because I received a NHL.com gift card for Christmas and had enough left over for a shirt after I bought a hoodie. So I ordered the Ward shirt and it's definitely not the same one you'd get in The Eye. To start off, the shirt is tagged instead of the tagless shirts you see in The Eye. The sizing seems to be similar, from what I've seen you need to order a size down from what you normally wear unless you want a dress. Also, I was not particularly pleased with the name and number on the back, it seemed to be set up way too high on the back compared to the ones you see in The Eye. The name and number were also smaller compared to the ones you see in The Eye.
If you can find somewhere other than The Eye to get player shirts, I would also be interested in this info. My personal recommendation is that you do not bother with the NHL.com shop, for player shirts or anything else. Their prices are high, the quality is the same or less than competitor's sites, and I have heard that their jersey personalization is atrocious (screen printing what should be stitched, etc.).
Also, it's definitely a lie that they have never had Jokinen shirts, because I have one. It is an XL though.

go to Dicks sporting goods...they have had a bunch there in the past. Got a Ruutu shirt there a couple of months ago and iirc they had Jokinen shirts as well.

E, OMG, I should have been jarred to remember this last night when we were texting on this; The Apex/Beaver Creek Commons Dicks has #36 Tees right when you walk in the daggone door! How I completely forgot this, I have no friggin' clue. If you do head over to Briar Creek and can't find it, let me know. I'm going over to Beaver Creek today for a pedicure and facial. The spa is right across the parking lot from Dick's I can stop in. The display at Dick's is actually pretty good; it's surprising how both Dick's and Kohls have all this Canes stuff in their stores.
I cannot express just how annoyed I am with the Eye on every front.

I am always amused at shopping complexes that have both Dick's and BJs.

Since we are on this side-topic, if you are with your preteen and are trying to look up the website for dicks sporting goods make sure you type the correct one...
Says the mom of an almost 12 year old who had to do the quickest page shut-down in history when searching for basketball shoes with her daughter

Yep, I had a friend who was out somewhere call me to look something up on their website once. Of course, her 12 year old son was the one I was on the phone with. He walks around now quoting me all the time......"And Dicks dot com is NOT the sporting goods store"!

Footnote to this thread.
I FINALLY found my Jokinen T at Dick's (Triangle Towne) as suggested! It still wasn't the size I wanted, but I bought it anyway! So thanks Nick!
