PMs Disabled

Hey guys,

Hate to have to do this, but I'm disabling private messaging for the entire forum, in the wake of the recent rash of spammers. I apologize for the inconvenience, please bear with us unitl we can sort out what the best course of action is. I dont want someone getting a virus or phished because of a link inadvertently clicked here.

In the mean time, please go to the following link to a thread for further discussion, if there are any urgent or important messages sent over LGC that need to be followed up on, and you dont have the individuals non-LGC contact info, we'll try to arrange something so users can remain in touch privately.

Hopefully, we can find a setting to enable it for verified users ASAP, but for now the only option i can find is all or nothing.

Is there any way to only kill sending of PMs? I'd still like to be able to see some of my old PMs.

This is by no means a permanent or even long term solution. I'm going to email you on the address you registered with. If there's something pressing you need we'll work on it, like have a window enabled for an hour or so...

Wait - I'm confused, I've sent a PM to Greensboro Hurricanes about some DVD of games and it acted normal. Does that mean it's working or no?
