Dear Hurricanes Ticket Plan Holder,

It is with great anticipation that we approach the upcoming season of Hurricanes hockey and we are appreciative of your continued support.

An update regarding the distribution of tickets for the 2003-04 season:
We have targeted the week of September 8th to ship full season ticket booklets. Full season tickets will be shipped via FedEx and you will be supplied, via email, a tracking number to evaluate the status of your package. All remaining ticket packages, including 24 game and 10 game plans, will be distributed via FedEx no later than 3 weeks prior to the first game of your plan of choice.

In the next two weeks you will also receive in the mail information regarding the ordering process for additional game tickets. The date you may begin ordering additional game tickets is Monday, September 22, so please keep an eye out for this important information regarding the ordering process.

I'm sure that I'm not the only one that doesn;'t have anyone home to sign for the tickets from FedEx during the day, so I thought that I would let you all know that I emailed Karen Prince and asked her if they could ship them to my office instead of my home address and they said that they would. FedEx will not leave the package at your door and requires an adult signature..

I wanted to remind everyone that single-game preseason tickets (for games at the RBC) go onsale at the box office, and on TicketMaster, at 10:00am on Friday.

Last year was my first as a STH.....FedEx brought the tickets to my house and no one was there....so they wouldn't leave em... and when they finally delivered them to the office, they had all kinds of notes on them saying they knocked and they could hear someone talking but I wouldn't answer the door......unless my doggies have a secret, the FedEx person was smoking something besides cigarettes!! :D I asked my ticket rep to send them to my business address this year...

Previously, I had heard that the Canes were the last team to have their tickets printed up and that they received a price break for being last. Who knows if that is true or not. However, it would seem like we could get some preferential treatment and get the tickets out earlier this year, now that Bayda will be on the team and his dad's company prints up the tickets for most of the NHL teams.

Actually, it is the company he works for. I believe he is the President of Mercury Graphics, which is wholly owned by a public company called MDC. But in any case, if he is the President, he surely can have influence on when the Canes tickets get printed and delivered. Those last minute deliveries (they've done in the past 2 yrs) worries me.

What time is your Select-A-Seat tomorrow hyena? I think my foursome is going to try to move down. We all had different time slots but have to use the "latest" of them in order to move all 4 seats together (if we choose to). I think we'll go at 1:20pm tomorrow.

Well, we are now in the new row A in section 304 - we decided that we were spoiled having been in the first row of the section for so long that we couldn't stand to have people in front of us! According to what the rep at the ESA told us at the Select-a-Seat yesterday morning, we may get our tickets on time (depending on where we are in the printing process) or a few days after. I just wonder what to do if they send us the books for our old seats (which someone surely moved into yesterday) - will we have to send them back so they can mail them to the new holders? Guess we'll find out next week!

I just wanted to share with everyone that I had a really nice conversation with Doug today...he is a great guy and he is such a fan. If he is your rep and you haven't met him yet, you will love him!! (Thanks Shell and Jeff) ;) I told him about our forum and I told him that we were all so desperate that one of our posters posted a pic of a ticketmaster ticket to the TB game, and we all drooled....and then I told him that we wanted to come over and watch the ice form.....he really got a hoot of of that!! :spin:

Ok...I'm one of the unfortunate ones who couldn't get season tickets so you all have me so jealous up here in the mountains! :p I have a question though (probably stupid one)...I want to get tickets for opening night ASAP and as far as i know that would be Sept 28th. Does anyone know if they will be available for purchase on ticketmaster or can you only get them at the box office at the caniac carnival?

I wish I could be there to enjoy the beginning of the new season with you all, but we'll be raising "Cane" up here in the mountains for our guys!(especially since we now have Center Ice) :D

I got my tickets today after successfully chasing down the FedEx man who was running late. I passed him turning into my street and turned around and pulled up behind him at my house. He was only a little startled ;)

I also got the information on the Caniacs acCOUNT today. The letter says that when tickets go on sale to STH on 9/22, it will be for all 03-04 regular season games.

I also got an email from my ticket rep today so now I know who he is. Never got email from my rep (whoever he was) in the past so this was a real red letter day for me as a Caniac :spin: :D

I was wondering if any of you have tried to buy tickets through the Caniac Account Manager?? I tried to buy a preseason ticket for a friend of mine today, and it connected me straight to Ticketmaster with NO discount!! Do we not get a discount for additional tickets this year??? :roll:

You can't buy regular season tickets until 9/22. Do you think that applies to preseason too? It says in the letter that full STH can buy additional tickets at the STH price. Everything seems to start on the 22nd though according to this letter.

I've just been asking that question over and over since we're splitting our STH with some other folks. I want to make sure we've got the games divided up prior to 9/22 so I can buy tickets for the games we want to add. I think Doug thinks I'm one of his customers because I've asked him so many questions, lol.

The letter does say you can buy tickets on 9/22, but when you actually go to the link that says "Buy Tickets" it says that you can buy them only after 9/28 at 10:00am. I was hoping to buy them online instead of having to take off work. I hope that they fix that on the Ticketmaster site.
