Time to start a new streak, I guess.
This game doesn't appear to be televised.

This game was originally supposed to be part of the NBC broadcast package, but in a shocking twist of fate they decided not to air it and air the Detroit game instead. Word is that the Thrashers will attempt to broadcast their in-house arena feed on Center Ice, probably synched up with their radio broadcast. Better than nothing but still slim pickin's for those wanting to watch.

The Center Ice Schedule for TWC-Greensboro has the game listed as "Jumbo Tron Feed" and Center Ice is still having their free viewing period for non-subscribers, not sure when that ends.

Thanks for mentioning that ncmikey! I totally forgot (even thought I watched/snoozed to the CI free preview last night) about the free preview.
I'm going to be in the car for the whole game, but I remember how much fun it was to listen to Randy Moller and the Fla JT feed last year (I managed to get it streamed on the web) and post here at the same time.
I'll probably be stuck with the same call on XM (until I'm close enough to get 99.9) - but sans video. At least Mr ncc will have it here at home.

Last night's game was a bummer; but also puts to rest all of those hopes of climbing into 8th. I'll just take solid play and a strong end to this season. Given how bad things went the first part of the season, it'll at least be nice to see how they finish this out. To use a phrase our Captain likes to use-- I'll take it.
Maybe Joni will play less than 30 minutes tonight. Honestly it looked like a dance audition--- Let's audition guys to play with Joni. That was interesting for sure.
On the TV dealio- I/lgc_com exchanged tweets @benthrashers who happens to be the web admin for the Thrashers. He indicated that it was likely that the Thrashers would once again show the Video Board feed of the game along with their radio broadcast (for audio) for today's game.
benthrashers @lgc_comIce will likely have the arena feed of tomorrow's game. benthrashers @lgc_com Sometimes they add the radio feed with it.
I recall two other games I flipped on for ATL that used the video board feed earlier this season- and it seemed ok. There were a couple of issues with everything being exact - syncing the play-by-play. Plus the radio sound was odd/ kinda like tin can sounding- but it was viewable.
If you're on DirecTV it's Center Ice/ ch 774. Not certain about TWC or Dish, but I'm sure it's listed on the CI channels for the provider.
Well it's too pretty outdoors to be indoors and in the infamous words of Erik Cole, I got sh** to do, lol. so we may have to TiVo and turn off tweets & updates and stay off XM204 in the car.....
On the Thrashers end- looks like Evander Kane got hurt last night- he left the game with an injury and they're doing and MRI today or tomorrow; not looking too good for the kid today; I'm guessing it'll be Manny in net?
Time to dust off and try to start another streak.

Supposedly, the jumbotron feed will be broadcast HERE (http://www.kilonetsports.com/kilonet1.shtml). You'll need SopCast (http://www.sopcast.org/download/) installed and running to watch.

Confirmation from the Canes tweet a few minutes ago:
nhl_canes: It appears Atlanta’s video board feed of today’s game will be available on NHL Center Ice, which is now offering a free preview.

Hopefully the game will be as exciting as the drama of whether or not it would be televised.

I wish I could pause the DVR for just a second without having it jump back 10 seconds after I start playing it. Chuck is just one or two seconds ahead but I can't really time it because when I pause it it jumps back further than it was when I paused it.

It looks like Atlanta's radio feed may have just kicked in here on DTV. I was reading another board and people watching through other providers said they were getting the PBP.

Nice, Sutter!!
Yeah, the radio broadcast finally kicked in for TWC as well.
It's sad but, I think the camera work on their JT feed is better than our usual FSN feed.
It's certainly a helluva lot better than our JT view.

Yeah, this is a lot less obnoxious than the Florida game last year. Thank goodness Scott Farell isn't doing Thrashers games anymore.
They just ran an ad saying that you need to renew your season tickets for next year to guarantee playoff tickets for this year. That's a little harsh.

Wow, shots on goal 15-4.
Yeah, with Philips as a sponsor the Thrashers have good quality video, and good lighting in the arena.
And LTD wants Brandon and Tuomo on the first powerplay unit.

This is definitely an adventure! We just got home and decided to sync up Chuck K with the TV (delayed the TiVo so it's with Chuck) and it's working so far. Although the radio buffered twice, we seem to be doing ok. I'm cracking up at the in game entertainment. We had no sound just the in -arena. I took the TV off mute to check if the ATL radio feed came on, we still had nothing. (DirecTV)
Well tonight's game is definitely different except for the struggling looking PP- was that Sutter goal an expired PP goal? Chuck just keeps a-talkin' and I didn't hear him indicate it to be a PP goal. He likes to tell lots of long winded stories as ya'll know; it's more glaring when you're focusing on both of these things.
I will give ATL kudos for at least giving people this. It is better than no TV.

#25 should have scored that goal, my word, he danced all over the ice like he was just as carefree as he could be.
They're trudging through this game, which you have to do on these back to back nights. don't take your foot off the pedal Canes, my Blackhawks had some kind of freeze up (thanx Hu-ain't) and it cost them the game today.
Their video board stuff is making me laugh for some reason. Maybe because goofy jumbotron antics on "TV" seem so kooky or out of place, lol.
Dang, Chuck really talks alot.

During the intermission the Thrashers radio guy basically said that sure, the 'Canes have been playing better but really, we should be easy for the Thrashers to beat.
Kick their a**es, boys.
Plus, he just said "more huger." Let's score one for correct grammar.

I KNOW SHC! But Chuck tried mightily to jinx him by saying "Manny Legace's working on a SHUTOUT" 4 different times in the last 8 minutes. I almost took the TV off mute because he was KILLING ME.
This was a nice rebound effort.
Hub and I were chatting and watching this game saying basically ATL is supposed to be fighting for 8th place, when hub's nephew back in PA sent him a text while he was watching this game; it said "ATL is supposed to be fighting for a PO spot? when we came down to your bldg last Mar vs PIT and you guys were fighting for a spot, your bldg was shaking, and it was FULL. No atmosphere, and their players look like they've given up".
Interesting take from a far away "follower" of the Canes.
I like that the Canes showed fight and pride in themselves to just keep playing.
Congrats Manny Legace. They decided they didn't need you in ATL, and we certainly appreciate what you've done for us when we need you. SHUTOUT!

It's an uphill climb for sure. That's why I thought these two weekend games were so important. That and they were two teams we have to crawl over. Caps and Pens twice each left on the calendar.
