I went 3-1 yesterday, the Sharks the only team I wanted to win lose. Going into the game I thought the Sharks had to win this to ease their minds a bit. Now its gonna get interesting. Do the Sharks get the "are we ever going to win the 1st round" thoughts in their minds?

Hopefully they will rebound. Although, I can't say I would be too upset if Colorado won, but I still favor the Sharks.

Bret sure was proud of his ring,in a subtle way, lol.I think Drew Remenda talked up that ring ("Bret Hedican's coming on in the intermission with a beautiful ring that we all want" hahaha) One of my co-workers who is based in San Jose, and watching the game on TV sent me an email last night with the subject line: Who knew the Canes SC Ring was so full of BLING :lol:.

No other text just that. Hilarious.

Not hilarious, is that daggone game. My eyes are bleary and I was exhausted at the gym this morning after watching that.

This cannot happen again. I know it's just the first game, but DAMN. They were at home- their record at home, it's outstanding. Colorado's speed seemingly wore them down a bit. Oh I have a headache. They are going to drive me to friggin drink alcohol.

Honestly, the Sharks have been perennial playoff flops, why are we expecting anything different?

I mean, I want to pull for them. I just feel bad for their fans having to have these amazing regular seasons followed by nothing in the playoffs. However I have to say that watching the kids from Colorado is fun, and for some reason I really like how Craig Anderson has emerged into a pretty good starter.

We flipped over to the Center Ice feed and they're showing some of the post-game interview on the ice....with Anderson. Absolutely amazing ovation he got. That building is insane. And Anderson is adorable. He seems as incredulous that everything has happened like this for them as everyone else.

What an absolutely horrific way to end a game. I told myself if it goes to OT I'm just going to go to sleep and find out what happens in the morning; and of course, I never do that with the Sharks, and POW, a kick in the teeth. Shoulda just went to bed and read about it or watched a highlight. Then I couldn't fall asleep, which is not normal for me, because that sh** was in my head.

I'm mortified for Dan Boyle; and seriously think the Sharks are cursed. What that franchise ever did to anyone, I have no flippin' clue, but seriously, I have no words for what happened nor do I even venture to guess what Game 4 will bring.

what's interesting is, these guys we traded to playoff teams, (Walker & Wallin specifically) are not playing. That's tough to see.

Now I gotta clear my head- I feel horrible for Dan Boyle.

I could only last through the rest of the 2nd once the Sens game was over, but the Sharks were completly dominating that game. Its about time they woke up.

Well, they've made it through that 1st round. The Sharks aren't getting style points for this, but I will heap tons of praise on Dan Boyle, and "Little Joe" (Pavelski), Setoguchi and Ryane Clowe. They were the ones who carried this series. Paging Jumbo Joe, Patrick Marleau & Dany Heatley (Heatley, if you as injured as you appear, you better step aside) your teammates need you NOW. Please figure out how to be players when it matters, so people can stop talking about you. You just gotta come to play.

I'm thrilled they are moving on. Most especially for Dan Boyle. I've always liked him, and I seriously didn't want that whole Game 3 debacle to be the way he remembered this series if they exited early again.

The Avs have alot to look forward to; they have some seriously BRIGHT stars on that team, it's pretty blinding. They needed to get this under their belts, and they're just going to learn. Chris Stewart and Matt Duchene have arrived. They're going to be good.

I hope Nic Wallin gets to play in the next round. Kent Huskins is alright, but I think Nic would be better.
