First playoff meeting for these two. Should be a good series. Nashville can actually score nowadays & Corey Perry has been on fire, so hopefully it won't be a series of 2-1 & 1-0 games.

I swear, I might be 80 someday and I'll hear Corey Perry's name and either physically or mentally do the lacross move he did during the Skills Comp. I was too lazy to vote, but it's a shame he wasn't top 3.

I voted for him. That lacrosse stick move was freaking awesome.

Nobody seems to be following the NSH/ANA glamour series.

I know he's a hated dude, but I never have--- Corey Perry RULES. He's one of my favorite players & that lacrosse move @ ASG2011, just made me smile & jump up outta my seat.

In other news, Bobby Ryan got a 2 game suspension (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=362452)for a "kicking" incident last night on the kid from Rancho Santa Margarita, Jonathan Blum. I think it's more of a stepping deal, but I also thought it was a puck battle to free the puck up along the boards so I'm shaking my head. I'm a little bummed, no kinda pissed because Jarett Stoll nearly kills Ian White and gets 1 game- White won't play tonight either & that was a hit to the head-- intentional or not, it was on the head. Ducks need Ryan. Not happy.

I'm definitely following this one.

And I think 2 games was a bit much for Ryan.

suspension was totally warranted. that wasnt part of the battle for the puck, he give up solid ground to stomp his foot. no place for that, if you let a kick go, it opens the door to guys using weapons on their feet.

I was waiting for your reply and you didn't disappoint.

We agree to disagree. Well, maybe I don't disagree, I'm pissed he got two games when a hit to the head gets one.

Yeah, it seems to me they should at least be the same. A wounded foot sucks, but a wounded head has such larger, rest-of-your-life implications.

im not saying the hit to the head suspension was fair. that shouldnt be your bench mark. i think they got ryan's suspension right.

posted while i was replying... i'd respond the same way... stolls hit shouldnt be your bench mark. they screwed the pooch there.

but wanted to point out how bad jordan staals cut to the foot was. and that wasnt intentional. i'm not going to understate head injuries, it's something the league is working on, finally. but kicking is akin to stick swinging, something the league has removed from the game and has been harsh on.

Crazy game in NSH. Best part so far is seeing Teemu the ageless wonder, score 2 goals in 30(ish) seconds when they were down 2-0.

4-3 NSH right now, apparently TSN is showing Carrie Underwood in the suite in NSH like they show Brian Burke's reaction in the GM's suite at Leaf games. They sound a bit star struck on Mrs. Fisher.

I would have liked to have seen her reaction when he fought Getzlaf. I know I was yelling at him, can't mess up that pretty face

Yeah, he kept his face buried in Getzlaf's chest for most of the time....I figured it was for her.

Was annoyed that Shawn L was tweeting about V Gill being there...glad someone tweeted back that he's a STH. If the guy showed up for a Preds/Canes game on a Tuesday night, I'd say he's a real fan.

edit: watched the highlights on TSN.com .. 2 "Underwood Cam" shots. Give the girl credit, she looks like she's pretty dressed down and looks like a (very beautiful) regular fan whipping her towel.

As an aside...too bad we couldn't land Fisher here. :(

I have been cheering for Mr. Underwood and the Preds.

LOL SHC & KF- I said something like he should not be fighting his wife is in the stands-mostly out of annoyance that Getzlaf even went down that road & did the Ducks Thug they they do, and Mr. Socal says -- so what about the other players who's wives are in the crowd at games? OH Ok husband, point taken.... ;)

"Underwood Cam" All the clips I've seen of her cheering on her lovely hubby, she's been the best cheerleader. I don't know how this couple could be any prettier than the Fishers.

In post game quotes from the Ducks camp; I'll just say this- Teemu please don't retire- He's just the most awesome dude:

Teemu Selanne: "We had no business in this f---ing game. No business. We were lucky to even be in the game."

This would be correct. Ducks are a confusing bunch. They can't ever get outta their own way. Wake the frick up socals..... the Preds are gonna stomp on you.

Me too. Would love to see them go far. Especially with all the crap and move talk this team gets.

And plus its the ducks, I don't like that team.

Unbelievable. Selanne has FIVE goals in this series, barely two thirds through game 4; Anaheim came out with the big boy skates on for the third period.

This game was wild. We all need to get the fountain of youth pill from Teemu. I only glanced the game as I was switching between BUF/PHI, NYR/WSH & even PIT/TBL so it was extremely sporadic.

The Ducks in that 3rd period just went off. That was a statement game. Although they just seem can't get out of their own way taking crazy penaliteis. INSANE. It's the disease they have.

This series is running under the radar, but it's seriously been good to watch. Back to Arrowhead Pond, woot!

WOW. Tough call on Koivu with 37 seconds left.

I'm glad to see the Preds advance (finally) but I hate that it's at the expense of the Ducks.

2 for 1 is a good day, IMO.

Glad to see the Preds fans have a bit of hope and even more happy to not have to hear that dreadful Duck's goal horn for a while.

One last time... Wooonnnnk! Wooonnnnk! Wooonnnnk!

Just wish the Preds could have advancced at the expense of a "traditional" hockey market.

Happy for nashville, lots of guys I enjoy on that team: fisher, sullivan, weber, geoffrion.

But I'm bummed for selanne. He's had a hell of season and playoffs.

Same here. The speculation is he's saying good bye, but ain't no WAY he's even close to retiring. He's such a catalyst for ANA. I hope he plays at least one more year. Ducks are going to be in Helsinki for the Premiere Games, if there were ever a Finnish star who deserved to go home and play for his people? I'm pretty sure it'd be Teemu eh? What a scene that'd be. Selfishly, I'm hoping he does. He's still got game, just like Recchi.

Happy for NSH- they've finally cleared the hump. Bummed for the socals- that Cory Perry/Bobby Ryan/Ryan Getzlaf trio is just one of my fave lines in hockey.

Well done Nashville! That pick up of Mike Fisher was well worth it. I'm also pleased for Barry Trotz-- well done, Smashville! And Jordin Tootoo has gotten his act together this year-- on and off the ice-- kudos to him, as well.
