For everybody with DirecTV if you had Center Ice last year it automatically renews at the early bird rate. You do not have to call DirecTV and sign up again. Not sure about DishNetwork or cable.

I called TWC today and asked them to sign me up again this year. Wonder if they will be "Rooming with Roenick" again this year or another set of commercials we can see over and over and over and..................

With the Canes having tv for 69 games, I may wait and get the half season package...but I really enjoyed having it when the Canes were gone..I was watching every CI channel plus back and forth with the 2 ESPNs.......  I plan on watching the Canes til June this year..when not in my seat at the RBC Center! ;) :spin:

Those of you with Center Ice last year.....does it give you a lot of the Canes games that aren't on Fox Sports Net here?

I don't really remember Angie? We get it more so we can have hockey every night, and watch the other teams.. way better than "Who wants to marry a stranger?" Have to watch my fantasy guys (fantasy hockey that is) and have to keep up with bates, Marty, Marek, Sami, etc.

That's why I want it....but the hubbie is more like "Do we get more Canes games?" so I wanted to answer the question. Thanks guys!
BTW, I just pulled the trigger on signing up for DSL so we'll be dumping Charter for that and once we get the OK from the landlords to have that dish screwed to the side of our house we'll be in the DirectTV folds as well. Center Ice....here I come!!!

Congrats SHC. You'll love it!!
I figured when we got those western games last year that it ended up being about $10-15 per Canes game if you wanted to look at the cost solely that way. Not bad even if you were doing it only for that - which of course I know you are not.
I think there is no guarantee that the Canes will be shown when Fox doesn't have the games, but I can't remember a time last year (we got it after Jan 1) that we didn't get one. Hope that doesn't change!
And Mona, it looks like there are only 3 away games that are not on the TV schedule before January 12th.

I know those late west coast games were on CI if not on the Canes' schedule. There were some away games not available on CI because the home team wasn't televising the game.
I just love all that hockey on all those channels and I enjoy hearing some of the other announcers. I do like hearing the other announcers take on the Canes. Last year it wasn't so fun though ;)

Dish Network doesn't have anything on it's website about Center Ice, but if you call in, you can sign up.

I am getting it again. There were probaly about 10 games that I could not have seen otherwise. I love watching all of the other Hockey games, stress free too. You can also see the other crowds, and see that we really do have have the best fans in the league!! :spin: You also get to know about alot of the other players and teams which is great.
Last year they also showed some specials on Hockey, that were not shown anywhere else except for Center Ice. Don't forget the first two rounds of the playoffs too, and hope they do not screw that up again this year!!

I tried it last year, but I didn't keep up with it to well. Not a lot of free time. I think that I will try one more time this year. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm ready to go with Center Ice as well. My co-workers can't believe that I'm actually counting the days until the first game. If I have it right, first Canes game is a Thursday. Avs play Friday (which is great because that time difference kills you) and I can stay up to watch! :spin:
