I do not know if I would have pulled him that early already having a 4 on 3 PP.

A few months ago, I posted this very scenario.

They were even on the Power-play just like in my "You make the call thread"

right call to make... they HAD to go for it.

too bad it didn't work out. bet it was pretty exciting though.
to have a 5-3 in OT, and not be able to score. that sounds vaguely familiar.

poor kings.

I remember discussing this same thing with you Meangene earlier. I had wondered if this had ever been done, and the only time we could come up with would be if they absolutely had to get the extra point to make the playoffs. (I'm pretty sure I was talking about this with you). I don't if it's ever happened before, but that's the first I've heard it done. They must have tried really hard knowing that their playoff hopes were on the line. A very, very slim chance of them making it anyway even if they had won but still certainly the best thing to do.

Wasn't there a Blackhawks game a few weeks ago where they pulled their goalie repeatedly during the third period in an attempt to score? A friend was telling me about it but I forgot to check ESPN.com whatever night that happened.

Anyone remember this?
