Pre-Season Game(9/30)

I went to see the Baby Canes last night and thought I would give a quick report of the players last night. I understand it was one game and am sure some would rather be in Carolina than here in Lowell.

Irbe - Gave up two goals. Both nasty slapshots that anyone would have had a hard time stopping, Looked good otherwise.
Zepp - Gave up two goals also. He did impress me with the fact that he almost always knew where to be.
Surma - Love this kid. Always full of energy.
Zigomanis - Very solid. Best player out there tonight.
Kurka - played a good game. Nothing outstanding.
LaRose - This kid id good. Full of energy also. Only thing that hurts him is his size.
Defauw & Brendl - :mad: Watching these two got me upset. With their size, they be more involved in every play. They just skated around in circles waiting for a shot to take. They were always last to backcheck also. I hope they get better.

Glad to see Larose doing so well. I would have liked to have seen him in training camp but there was only so many spots. Oh well...

I'd love to see Ziggy here as well, but as long as Francis, Brind'Amour, Staal, Vasicek, and Adams are around, there just isn't room for him. I expect we'll be seeing him again if there are injury problems, though, In the meantime, he'll be getting much more ice time in Lowell than he will up here, which is a good thing.

As long as the Canes don't give him the Heerema treatment, that is...
