View Full Version : Anyone get a call from Fox 50 today concerning the HDTV.

My friend got one, but he had forgotten all about it. His wife had a same day surgery and was coming out when the call came in. He was a little hurried, and told the guy that he had not registered for anything. He is going to try to get it straightened out tomorrow.

I was wondering if he was indeed the winner or just a preliminary winner. The contest stated that a winner would be picked from all correct entries during the Buffalo game on Saturday, so that makes it seem like a lot of winners should have been drawn since I bet there were a lot of correct entries. Theguy from Fox 50 also stated that he needed to be at the game Saturday.

Nobody called us...and we did both games/questions. :cry: :beatup:

I always thought if you were picked you were picked for this...I never heard anything about a preliminary winner...then again, their commercial wasn't very good. (Spelled Brind'Amour wrong...had to correct them on that)

I just talked to the guy from Fox 50. He said that 3 finalists were drawn. They are going to go on the ice during an intermission and answer trivia questions about the Canes. The one who gets the most right, wins the HDTV and a year of Digital Cable service.

The good news for everyone else who entered is that my friend probably will not be able to participate and they will have to draw another finalist if they don't hear from him by noon.

Speaking as one of those who graduated from Blurry-Vision (regular TV) a while back, whoever wins is going to absolutely love HDTV. The Toronto game the other night was as good as being there....except you got to sit with Tripp and John.
