"First" post in this forum...sweet.
The Panthers have signed QB Jake Delhomme, G Doug Brzezinski, RB Stephen Davis, and WR Ricky Proehl, and have re-signed QB Rodney Peete. The offense should be much improved from last year, and it looks like we will be ready to make a run at the playoffs after the draft!
Any thoughts from fellow Panther fans?

LOL, sorry Shell. It doesn't matter. Even Skins fans will do. ;)
I used to DESPISE the Skins, but my anger toward them has ebbed a bit...the Packers, Cowboys, Falcons, and Steelers are my four most hated teams now.
I just hope Davis doesn't get hurt in training camp or preseason like DeShaun Foster did...gah, that was a debacle.

He's still looking. He also visited the Jaguars. Panthers GM Marty Hurney said that they've talked to Sehorn's agent, but he said that "there is nothing close." However, the fact that John Fox was Sehorn's defensive coordinator for five years with the Giants might lure him here. We'll have to wait and see.

Word, the Panthers seem to be moving on up. :)
Maybe this year we'll see them in the playoffs. That would just be awesome.

If they improve their offnse (which it looks like theyre doing) theres no reason why this team should not be in the playoffs. Last year was not a terrible season, granted the very long losing streak (how many was it? 8 or 9 or more?) but how many of those games were decided by less than a touchdown?
I know nothing of the quarterback they signed, are they gonna make Peete the starter?

I think Peete has agreed to start this season and then stick around as backup to sorta help train the newbie.
It was 8 straight I think. Won 3, lost 8 then won 4 or 5 more. I think they were just a few steps away from being pretty decent last season as well....all this should help. Not sure I care about Sehorn at all....most overrated guy in the NHL (oops....slipped up there...NFL) IMHO.

Tommy, Mike Trgovac replaced Del Rio...I don't know that much about him.
Great news about Dyson, it's on the Panthers' official site too. We should be loaded after the draft.
Moonstomper, the new QB is Jake Delhomme, from the Saints. He's darn good, the Saints fans were irate to see him go. He'll battle Peete in training camp for the starting job.
If we do get Sehorn, he would be good in nickel or dime packages...I'm not sure about starting him, though.
LB Hannibal Navies is now a Green Bay Puker, uh, Packer. :D
