What is most likely to happen this offseason? I'm just curious to see if anyone is expecting something big or not.

I voted 'other.' I think we'll offload some of our extra NHL-calibur forwards (Hlavac?), and possibly a D-man or Irbe, in a trade for a league-leading D-man.
Other than that I see the core of this team staying together-coaches and players.

I chose signing a good free agent - got to do something with that salary-dump money.

I have looked at this season from every possible angle...and I am not so sure that Mo might return...although I voted that we may dump a player..I still think a change in coaching would help!! Just MHO!!

i personally think Mo is pretty good. This year has been a team, injury problem. I think Mo is capable of taking up to the Cup finals (again). :D
As far as the voting, I needed to vote twice, cause I think a player will be released, for another good player, Its inevitable... not sure who, but I know whom ever it is, he will be missed, hate to see anyone go...

What I'm most afraid of is that nothing will happen...

I went with a released player option. In my mind, the whole season hinges on the goaltender situation, and i don't feel a Weekes-Irbe tandem will ever work, no matter how much those two guys like each other. Neither one seems to be worth a crap unless he knows he's top dog.
At this point, for that reason, i'd honestly rather go into next season with one or the other of them (preferably Weekes), and get a bloody Fichaud/Moss-type for the bench. That way the starter would know he's the starter, and could concentrate on stopping the blasted puck rather than moping around wondering if he's the guy or not. Give us pond scum as a backup, and the top dog will happily do his job.
Having 2 solid netminders would be awesome, but for some reason it doesn't work in Carolina.
Hmm, wonder if the 'reason' is Mo's lack of ability to handle two top goaltenders?
