Okay, I was at the UNC game today, and for the second week in a row, I saw a game won in the last 5 seconds. (Went to the State/UConn game last week.) What is up with this team? It's almost funny. My friend and I had to stifle our laughter as we left Kenan Stadium.

My first comment is: Why stifle the laughing?
My second comment is: You're only 1 post from 1000. Woot.
My third comment is: I always thought Bunting would be a very good coach for the Heels. He seemed to have that hard-nosed personality for football. I can't see why he isn't succeeding. He certainly wants to win...he gets pretty emotional after losses. But why no success? I don't know. Chaulk up the 5 second thing to luck...everyone has good and bad. State was damn lucky to have won that game last week. (I was there too...where'd you sit?)
You'd have to figure that Bunting would get his program going after a while....then again, the same thing has been said about Carl Franks...

Well, 1-6, can't blame too much on bad breaks. With their schedule, they should have a couple more.
As for State, they just are out of wack this year. Rivers is still throwing well, but he's just rocketing a lot of passes, and they're too hard to catch. Even our best recievers have a hard time catching them; I think it's because the O-line is allowing too much pressure on Rivers. But also, with McLendon injury prone, and things like that, the team just isn't what it was last year, and it's a shame.
btw, last week's State game I was in section 118, about 5 rows up. You?

State had to be able to have a good defense to do anything this year. The loss of Holt and Dantonio demolished the D-corps, leaving Aughtry-Lindsay and Manny Lawson (Who I noticed didn't play much vs. UConn) to lead the D The defense is one of the worst in the conference. How can you compete with that? As far as the offense, I've about given up on TA. He just gets hurt too dang much. After every play I see him limping off the field. When he's healthy he's electrifying, but he's never healthy! And Rivers, while still very good, has not been the Heisman contender that he could have been. He can do better...I don't know what's wrong. It does seem like he's pressured an awful lot...I guess the O-line really isn't that good...
Next year is going to suck, to put it bluntly. Rivers, Cotchery, Herbert, and other notable names are leaving. Though there should be a good QB battle...Jay Davis is Rivers' backup but the Freshman Marcus Stone is supposedly the 'real deal'...so I guess we'll see.
I was sitting about a section and a few rows away from you, Tommy. I was in 119, Section D. (Which is actually the Third row up...don't ask me why
