Wonder how serious the "elbow injury" is?

This blurb from Sunday's paper:

Pavel Brendl missed Lowell's first three games with an elbow injury.

Not the start he'd hoped for....

Well, dudeman (:D) has lit it up upon his return. 6 goals and 5 assists in 10 games and a plus-3. :smoke:

From today's N&O:Pavel Brendl has been key for the Lock Monsters, who go into the weekend on a three-game winning streak. After back-to-back games with three points, Brendl is tied for second on the team with 10 points despite missing the first four games with an elbow injury.

"He had the period of time where the player was disappointed about being sent to the minors," Carolina general manger, Jim Rutherford said. "He was doing OK, but not at the level where he would be considered as a guy who could help our team.

"The last two games the reports are he's playing at both ends of the rink, scoring and getting points and playing more determined."

Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing this guy get a chance up here this year.

Ditto. I don't care if he is lazy. If he can score like that up here we need him!!

But who to send down? Pavel plays RW...and we already have O, Cole, CAdams, Vrbata, and Boulerice playing on the right. The only guys I'd like to send down in favor of Brendl are on the LW... (Svoboda, despite the 1-way contract... maybe Daniels though he'd have to clear waivers...)

I agree Turby.. Jesse has played hard for his spot and I am very pleased with how he fits in on the 4th line.. I can see his offensive skills building all the time. I think Brendl needs to prove his endurance before getting the shot. He needs to work for it like everyone else!

Would it really be that huge of an adjustment for him to play his off-wing? I don't really know how hard that is. I think Ronnie, Brendl and Vrbata is a line I'd like to see. Though maybe they would be too slow and not physical enough to have altogether. Hmmm. I'm not sure if he could keep up (literally) with Cole and Brindy. Just thinking out loud here.

With the off-wing

isnt it more backhand shots for him if he gets set up?
it could resonably affect his game pending on his handness
