New to this forum

I was out of the loop last year, like a lot of people I am sure, due to the financial downturn. Couldn't go to any games and didn't get a chance to follow much. Things are getting better, and hope to get to a few game, my 4 year old is really excited too :spin:

Some of you may remember me when the Canes played the Wings in the SCF 2 years ago. Had a lot of posts on teh Lets GoWings site, taht was before this site was around, and it was the only place worth going to talk hockey during the finals.

It is good to be back and I am psyched to see the Canes playing so well.

I was a fairly-regular poster on the Leafs' Penalty Box site, of all places. Egads! In fact, i think it was a post on that forum that introduced me to this one. We all come from odd places, no?

Thanks for the warm welcome, hockey season is the only season for me, summer is over-rated. Since they play hockey in all 4 seasons now it is getting harder to use that line. :roll:

Hello BamBam and welcome to the forum. Are you from Buffalo? My husband is a Buffalo native. He took me to my first hockey game at The Aud and I was instantly hooked! :D

Vandy, I am from the Buffalo area, I grew up in Lancaster, 20 minutes East of Buffalo.

The Aud was a great place, spent ALOT of time there, saw my first Sabres game on my 4th bday, they played the Blues I believe.

The new arena is fantastic, the HSBC (Hot Sauce Bleu Cheese) is a great layout, not a bad seat in the house, great food too. Lots of cold Canadian beer on tap as well.

The only drawback is the infestation of Make Beliefs fans whenever they play the Sabres. :sick: :sick: If you thought the SCF series here was bad, it gets much worse there.
