Funny, "Thorty" didnt mention getting his A** whooped after he thought he got a bad hit from Boogie....JESSSEEE!!! :D

Uh, dude? Thornton dropped his gloves. He threw one punch, dropped his gloves and jumped Boughner from behind. I agree Boughner wasn't fighting (Hello? Broken hand!) but Thornton sure thought he was. He should have been ejected right then and there! That would have saved him that embarassing beating at Jesse's hands as well. :laugh:

Sorry, dude, the penalties were right.

Unfortunately, they did get away wth some that they shouldn't have. I left The Vault thinking that the Sharks are a dirty team. Way more so than even the Make Beliefs.

Jesse must have hit Thorty so hard he forgot all about that emotion filled drumming he took! :beatup:
Thorty should have been tossed! He blindsided boughner, thats just bottom feeding scum like actions right there!

I'd also like to say, that in all the games so far, especially after lastnights games, that I'm glad that I haven't seen one dirty hit, not one cheap shot, or any crap like that from the canes!

I know that it would have been easy to do lastnight, but we kept our composure and stuck to the game plan! I hope we continue to backup our hits, stick up for each other, and play tough!

I would have to disagree. Bougner should not have gotten a 5 min fighting after being sucker punched. He did not even drop his gloves, he didnt have a chance to. 2 mins for roughing when they were down on the ice yes, but 5 for fighting, no way.

agreed!! Doesn't exactly instill discipline if you do what you are supposed to after being sucker punched and get the same penalty as if you had retaliated!

I couldn't believe Boughner ended up in the box. That was a move a pissed off 3 year old would make and Boughner didn't retaliate or drop the gloves. That was a cooler full of frustrated Sharks.

I meant that the Thornton penalties were 100% correct. Why Boogie got penalized escapes me. Guess Mr. Magoo was there in spirit.

When he hit Boogie from behind..I was so pissed off...apparently Jesse B. was too..and on tv, he took the water bottle and washed his knuckles in the penalty box! :D :beatup: Jesse took a few punches..in practice his face was pretty bruised..

oh and FYI...Bruno was skating today and seemed fine. :spin:

I think his face/cheek (his left one) was swollen before the game even started because of that puck to the face from practice on Monday. Makes his two big fights even more impressive - he had to be smarting from that puck already.

If the Sharks wanted to build a reputation as team full of dirty players that take cheap shots then they succeeded. Thornton's hit on Boughner was absurd, as was the slash on Craig Adams... There were also at least two other take downs that probably should have been called against the Sharks but were not. I understand that the Sharks were frustrated...perhaps they thought they could easily defeat the "lowly" Canes? :D The game was definitely fun to watch but it seemed that the Sharks were trying to make it their mission to injure our players in the end.... What a bunch of goons.

Well what do sharks normally do when hurricanes run wild all over the top of them? They get alittle angry, but theres nothing they can do about it! They can try to fight it but it'll just beat them back down where they belong!

down on my end at one point McClaren got hit by mistake by one of his
own team-mates and he thought it was Bayda and he NAILED Bayda....

Well, have hear it called "The ATM" and my wife and I just started calling it "the vault" but I'm someone else thought of it before I did.
