Yours truely waited to long to get Raising Canes on DVD and now the Eye is out of DVDs, with only lowly VHS copies remaining. I'd be ecstatic if someone has an extra copy that they'd be willing to part with. You name the price.
I worry that this thread will be posted in vain...Please, somebody prove me wrong!

Have you tried the small Eye stores within the RBC, like outside sections 101-104? That's where I got mine...

I went to the Eye at Crabtree. It didn't have any, and the guy there called the store at RBC and it said it only had VHS left. He said that if RBC didn't have any DVDs none of the stores would. :cry:

Turby...while walking by the small Eye in between like Section 118 and 116...they had some copies of the DVD in the glass...you might want to call them again!! :roll:

You still ought to check out the smaller Eye's located throughout the lower concourse of the RBCC during the game Sunday. They sometimes have things the actual store doesn't, and vice-versa.

I wouldn't count on all that knowledge all in one place! LOL! I did find my copy where I suggested you look, & they still had several copies then, even after we bought two of them.

I do think the Eye needs to be a bit more coordinated...I've been told by no less than 3 different employees that no Eye locations have any DVDs... :mad:

I would gladly give mine up, since I have watched it already, but I gave it to my sweetie for Christmas... in the interest of peace and harmony at home, I don't think that I am going to ask him if I could send it to a guy in Canada! :D

Kat, I understand your apprehension, but PLEASE keep in mind that all Canadians shouldn't be roped together just because the boys running the country decided not to send our 2 boats and 1 tank to help you in Iraq and because of some JACKHOLES in Montreal booing your anthem. I'm just like all of you........... I want nothing more than to drink myself stupid with some fellow Hurricanes fans while watching our team march to the Cup! But I guess that would just happen in a PERFECT world, eh? No worries, I'll get the DVD by hook or by crook, and I still love all my American friends.

Oh crud...I meant to post this Friday after I came back from the mall: When I went to The Eye @ the Triangle Town Center Friday night, they had a few copies of the DVD edition of Raising Canes left. Hopefully, it's not too late, and you can pick up a copy or two Turby if they still have them and you still haven't found any copies yet.

Batesb13fan was kind and thoughtful enough to buy copies for both me and Aaryn in the event that I couldn't find any. Big Kudos to her for that. :kiss:

I went in there a few months ago looking for a reciever and along with Canes stuff hanging up all over the place, they had the Raising Canes dvd playing on a monitor there and were selling it. If anyone's still looking for a copy I suggest trying there!

I just wanted to let y'all know that I FINALLY watched the DVD. We had a holiday yesterday in Canada, and I couldn't find anything on TV, so I threw in Raising Canes, and I can tell you that THAT was not how I wanted to spend my last day off of the summer. Watching that was like watching an old movie you've seen a million times with a sad ending. You know how it's going to end, you know you're going to be heartbroken, and you know you're going to cry :cry: .
It did, however, get me excited for the upcoming season, and renewed my hope that the magic will return. Seeing that 3OT loss on Game 3 made me wonder how different things may have been if WE had won that one. Also, seeing Harry as a Cane again made me wish for a hockey version of an "undo" button. All in all, I loved this DVD, and I again wanted to thank batesb for getting this for me.

Glad you got to see it Aaryn...I watched mine a week ago and I laughed, cheered and cried!! And I have said it many times that if we had won Game 3, the Cup would have been ours!! :sad: :cry:
