Not sure if anyone here would be interested in this type thing, but the HLS2 sim league i'm in is trying to recruit some new GMs, and since we have such a bustling fantasy hockey community here... :)
Here's the basic rundown. The league is called the Transamerican Hockey League (THL) (http://www.transhockey.com) and is run by my brother, who lives in Garner. The league is in it's 6th season and has GMs hailing from here to Yukon.
The setup is this - every year, a 16-team 'junior' league is created using computer-generated (fictional) players, a 60-game 'junior' season is run, we are given the full stats, and we have a draft. Then we make trades and cuts and end up with a 25-man roster. Players hang around for 10 seasons before retiring, so it's not like you have to start from scratch every season.
Then we set our lines, and each weekend, a week's worth of games are simulated. We then get the results, and have all week to make changes as we see fit, make trades, cut the guys who aren't getting the job done, sign free agents, yadda yadda, and then the next weekend, the next week is run.
There is a 'major' league and a 'minor' league called the 'Transeuropean Hockey League' (TEHL). At the moment we're looking to stock up the minor league, with the hope that you will enjoy the league and take on a major league team.
If anyone has any interest, check out the website linked above and see what you think. Personally i think the whole thing is a blast, even more fun than the Yahoo fantasy leagues i'm in. Drop me a PM or an e-mail if you are curious.
