What better book end for the Brind'Amour and Cole line than Defauw, He is seeing reduced ice time in Lowell, Just get Craig Adams out of there. Defauw has payed his dues and I believe deserves a shot to develop as a power forward with that line, hell craig adams got 2 assists in a game on that line. Defauw has that weight to throw around.

I think we all agree that Craig didn't/doesn't belong with Ronnie's line. If Defauw is seeing less ice time in Lowell, wouldn't that be an indicator that he's not earning more?
His stats are 6 games, 0 point, 0 assists and a -2. So I'm guessing maybe this post was a joke?
I may have the opinion the Mo forgot to buy Craig a wedding gift and has used his ice time as a belated one, but I think if he lands on the right line, he's earned his stay here for now. My preference would be that he end up with KAdams again, but I'd rather see him with Cole/Brindy than Ronnie.

CAdams is a 4th line player and he plays very well in that role. Since we are rolling 4 lines a bit more consistently, then I think that's where the Adams boys need to be to add to this team and we know they are both excellent role players. Every team needs role players and we have some good ones. We just need to use them correctly IMO.

Besides, after the play of the Adams' these past few seasons, does anyone think they'll be sent down?
Personally, I think they've both been one of the few highlights of last season, and are a great force to have on the ice.

I agree with that statement. Keep the Adams on 4th line where they can contribute best to the team. We've already seen and proven how and what that contribution is.

The problem with that is if they are both on the 4th line with Boulerice, the scoring threat for that line would be almost nothing. If that happens we would be back to 3 lines with all of the ice time.

Not really. Last year that lines was our THIRD line, and it was the fourth that sat and didn't even get ice time.

Don't get me wrong. I am a big fan of both K and C Adams but last year when they played together on the 3rd line, they had 15 goals all season. I think that their hard work and ability to dig the puck out is better served playing with guys that will put the puck in the net.

I think that K Adams was the best player on the ice against Toronto the other night. He had more jump in his step than anyone on the ice. He has been playing with passion and he is definitely not afraid to mix it up. He doesnt take any dumb penalities either, unlike Cole this year. Why has he been in the box so much?

Cole had 72 minutes last season, in only 53 games I think it may have been?
Thats just the nature of his style of play. I wouldn't be suprised to see him upwards of 100 minutes in a full season, playing like he does.
But there in lies the key: to play his style of game and stay healthy to last the whole season.

Playing like he does is not smart, he is putting the Canes in hole by being in the box instead of on the ice. Too many penalties on him in the offensive zone. He needs to get more disciplined.

I think a big part of the problem is they singled him out as one of the league's worst divers last season so now the refs are always looking to put him in, and never believe he is really injured.
(I'd rather be on a penalty kill than a power play anytime with this team)

Cole is a flailer. Seriously. Watch him....he flails! That tends to cause him to commit penalties AND make it look like he dives. It also tends to create a lot of confusion around the net which can lead to a puck squirting through to Ronnie who then can knock it into an open net. :D

I'll take Cole's style of play every day. He is a big, physical forward and being "assertive" is part of his role on this team. He's tough as nails and with the current level of officiating, who knows what will be called. I don't think he's undisciplined, but he is watched by the officials for the reasons mentioned above.

Playing like he does is not smart,
Well if playing like cole is dumb, does that make players like Cam Neely, Joe Thornton, Scott Mellanby, Todd Bertuzzi, dumb? :D
I'd take a team full of that kind of dumbness any day of the week!
I always thought, and still think that Cole could put numbers an par with Mellanby. Maybe alittle better offensivley and alittle less on the PIM number, but very similar.

I agree Angie....those arms and legs are everywhere..and just when you think he is absolutely no threat, he cuts those eyes (all you guys know the look I am talking about) and does something like score or get an assist.. he is tough..I thought he was knocked out against the Rangers and back he came.. :spin:

Erik's just too awesome. It still astounds me how he was able to play after being rammed into the glass like that. Heck, who doesn't love the way he plays and just hangs in there?

Hello everyone.
Do all the players show up to pre-game skates and do they sign after the pre-game skates?
I'm thinking about taking my family tomorrow.
