A triumphant return for the Blues' former captain...miss 77 games to come back and score a goal...maybe he can help St Louie get the division title from the Red Wings.

ACK!!! Pronger!!! what a CREEP..... That game was nothing but a bar-room brawl in the last period, particularly the last minute. Just about every guy from both teams was involved in the fighting. :eek2: After a folding chair was thrown onto the ice by one of the Blues' coaches, the team coaches started trading words through the glass. I was so waiting for a little coach punch-up.
I have to say *YAK* Pronger!! *blech* *ick* * * I like Big Al, but Pronger is a fill-in-the-blanks.
grrrrr......
And oh yes, Hi Turby!!! http://www.smilies.org/basesmilies3/twark.gif :D

:spin: I didn't see the game...only saw the headline on sportsline.com. Thought it would be a good story. And then I turned on Sportscenter this morning and saw Reed Low punching a Sweaterless and padless, bare skinned Red Wing (McCarty?), followed by another fight minutes later, followed by another fight, etc. What kind of hockey is that? There must have been 4 or 5 fights! The Red Things must have fought more than they played!
And not to mention Pronger was a -4 in his first game back, the first DET goal being a direct result of a whiff of the puck by the prong...
Does Pronger have an attitude or something? I must admit I have no idea...

The game took a turn in the final 10 minutes as the teams combined for 243 minutes in penalties. In the final minute, 13 players received misconducts, including St. Louis rookie defenseman Barret Jackman and Luc Robitaille of the Red Wings.
Supposedly there were only 6 skaters left for each teams, 4 on the ice and 2 on the bench for each team.

Yep, that was Darren "Clothing Optional" McCarty, showing off his new tattoo.
Painful to watch, but I liked the ink. ;)

There were 8 players left on the Blues bench, and 9 on the Wings bench. The Blues were gutless goons today, fighting and attacking players that don't even fight, such as Draper, Holmstrom, Bykov, and Barrett Jackass tried to go after Lidstrom. The refs though let this game get way out of hand by not calling simple and obvious penalties.

We got the whole three-ring circus on tape. The refs had NO control over that game whatsoever. And the Blues were playing like roughnecks. Pronger being the worst offender besides Nash (who was understandably cheesed off about being hit in the teeth with Shanahan's stick, but it wasn't intentional). The last minute of the game must've been the longest in NHL history because they had to keep stopping it for fights. Even Luc Robataille got so sick and tired of the mugging on Holmstrom that he went after somebody. Landed a pretty darn good punch too. I was terrified that someone would go after Steve, but they laid off of him for the most part. Except for Big Al "Slap Shot" MacInnis, I can't tolerate a single player working for the Blues.
The few remaining players looked totally lost on those empty benches, didn't they? lol :D
