Well, I just ran across this board tonight and immediately joined.

About me: I had never been to a hockey game or watched a televised one until I got my illustrious job at the RBC Center (http://www.rbccenter.com/). Now granted, I can't really watch the games while working, but it was enough to pique my interest. I watched the Canes (http://www.carolinahurricanes.com) vs. NYR game on FoxSS and was immediately hooked. What a great game to start watching.... nothing like a win to start off with.

Anyway, I look forward to learning more about the sport as time goes on.

Where can one find a good primer on hockey rules, gameplay, terms, and traditions? I get confused easily and would like to study so that when I'm working I don't get perplexed when people randomly start throwing hats in my general direction....

Welcome....if you want to learn EVERYTHING about hockey, you are in the right place....lots of hockey knowledge to be had in abundance.. ;) Check on the Hockey 101 thread..
