Sticky! ???

This may have been posted before, or this may just be a stupid question... but can someone explain to me what the Sticky icon means??? :sad:

Usually the most recently posted in topic will appear at the top of a discussion forum. A sticky thread stays at the top of the discussion forum it's in whether it's the most recently posted in thread or not. They usually make a game thread or an important announcement sticky so that everyone can find it very easily. Does that make sense? Sometimes my writing skills desert me.
