Hello and welcome :) If you're really Bubba, that is awesome.. your name has been brought up on this site several times, and always in a positive manner. I'd love an 'insiders' perspective.
Many moons ago, we had a discussion about what would happen if our 2 goaltenders could not play.. Did we arrive at the right answer?

To my knowledge ive never been on the roster but all I know is
all my gear stays at the Rbc when we are there ,,,,and then When we are at the reczone it goes there for emergency situations

Used to be that Sami Kapanen was the #1 skater-goalie, because he used to play goalie. Malik was also an option due to sheer size. Now? I don't know. Do any of the new guys have any experience in goal? Markov's big enough...

What a strange coincidence to be talking about this when ESPN is carrying an article (http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=1682696) about last night's Vancouver game. Apparently they signed a local university goaltender to a one-day amateur contract to serve as backup to Hedberg, since Cloutier had injured himself in the morning skate and their AHL and WHL teams were traveling.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- The Vancouver Canucks dressed Canadian university goalie Chris Levesque as a backup Tuesday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins after Dan Cloutier hurt his groin during the morning skate.

Johan Hedberg started consecutive games for the first time since Vancouver acquired him from Pittsburgh in August.

Levesque, a 23-year-old goalie for the University of British Columbia, signed a one-day amateur contract to back up Hedberg after the Canucks were unable to promote a goalie from either the AHL or Western Hockey League in time for the game. Both minor league teams were traveling for their respective games.

Milan Dragicevic, Levesque's college coach, just happened to be at the Canucks' morning skate Tuesday morning and suggested to the team that they use his goalie.

Cloutier was hurt moving right to left on a breakaway drill in the morning practice and had to be helped off the ice.

Levesque has played 34 games with the Thunderbirds. He's 0-4-1 with a 4.77 goals-against average in seven games this season.

The third-year student even has an exam at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Levesque did not get paid for his one-game appearance, said the team.
