The paper says there are only about 5000 still available and that sales have increased since the coaching change was announced (though not hugely). I'll go with 14,387.

Yeah, I think there's some spin going on. I asked my sales rep if we could expect 15k for one of the Sat. night games in November and he said yes - and it was around 12k. Hope I'm wrong.

See I can be cynical! I'd say around 12k. (This game is in a 10-pack but not 24-pack? I forget.)

call the papers!!!! :p

not sure about the 10 pack, but I know it's not a 24 game. we'll be in a different spot tonight, but we'll be there.

I'll go with 14,578 (I do think we'll have a decent crowd tonight)

On a related note, our next game against the Islanders (Pete's first as the Canes' coach) is part of the three game package.

This morning's paper said 5,000 tickets remain. I guess ~14,000 will be close to being the number.

14,332 -- Did we ever figure out the official rules on winning this? I'd hate to have to duke it out with Night Train again! (he hits too hard)

I think rkbrasse is who started this game, so he gets to make the rules..

Closest without going over, or just closest? :)

hehe!

I meant to include that I fully expect that however many bodies show up - that it'll be a lively, lively crowd. Wish I could be there myself (had tickets and all), but a prior engagement will prevent this. Be loud y'all! :D

I'm gonna go with 14,462. Hoping that there was a last-minute push for tickets.

I too would love to have had my but in a seat tonight...but I guess Exams gotta come first. I'll be more than satisified watching it in HD, though!

Just got back from the game. I don't have the actual numbers, but the crowd size was very disappointing, I'd say 11,500 actual a$$es in the seats.

The crowd get very loud for the introduction of the Peter Laviolette, Ward's hit and fight, and both goals and for a second sounded like a full house.

When Laviolette came onto the bench and looked into the crowd, he probably thought, "Oh gosh, what have I gotten myself into this time?"

jhardman

The crowd was much more sparse than I thought it would be. I took a one game hiatus from my solitary perch in 107 to experience the ambience of 328, but the overall crowd was disappointing. 328 however, was not. :-)

and Captain Slack wins nothing for being closest.. good job though!!

I definitely expected a fuller arena, and concur with jhardman.. we sat in 325, the first game we could understand what 328 was saying and definitely enjoyed that!! We hear them from 314, but can't decipher the words. T'was fun.

Lot smaller than I expected this afternoon but got much bigger than I was afraid it was going to be at about 10 to 6. I was flat scared at that point. NO ONE was there.

Good loud crowd, though. And I was in the wine and cheese club level where hockey sticks are no longer made of wood but "molded plastic." LMAO.

Glad to hear everyone has began the pilgrimage north to 328 to enjoy us. 328 was not full last night...we were missing a few of our standard folks. But we need to be much louder throughout the building. All in all, a great time had by all that actually decided to show up. Can't wait til Monday for another dose of my Canes'!

Maybe I need to get 314 to join in.. get both sides of the arena going and everyone will have to join in!

I ended up in 116 last night, but could hear you guys in 328 (my normal section - not that that section is completly normal though). practice was energtic today and the guys certainly were in good spirits. See you all Monday night! :D
