Hello customers,
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
I'm writing you at this address to let you know that your Enable Hosting account is scheduled to be moved to another, more stable hosting server this evening. The move will begin around 7:30 this evening. I apologize now for the short notice, but some issues have arisen this afternoon that make an immediate move necessary to ensure the reliability of your service.
This change involves reconfiguring authoritative name servers for your domain. This means that, for a period of 24-72 hours, because of propagation delays your site will exist to some users on the old server and to still other users on the new server. While your site will not appear to be down at all -- it will always be accessible from one of the locations -- you'll certainly need to avoid making major changes after 7:30 PM tonight at least until 36 hours from now. To be safe, I recommend waiting three full days.
As I said before, your data will be moved over in its entirety, including IMAP e-mail and databases, at 7:30.
No data will be lost in this process.
Inbound e-mail: due to propagation time you may receive e-mail at both the old server and the new server for up to 72 hours. To check mail at both, you'll need to add an account to your mail client. Keep all username and password information the same, but for the server name, enter the address: 64.246.42.130. Your existing account can stay configured as mail.yourdomain.com. After the 72 hour window has passed, you can safely remove the numbered e-mail account and continue using the existing account as configured like you have been.
Again, I apologize for the short notice, but this is a necessary move to preserve the integrity of your service. If you have any questions, please contact me. I'll respond as soon as I can.
Thanks.
The first bolded part means that if you make any posts on the board and a couple of days later they've disappeared, that's why. It's not us mods on a power trip. Well, we are on a power trip, but not like that...
The second bolded part is just good news to me.
I hope this e-mail finds you well.
