Help me decide before Sunday if having my birthday announced on the Jumbo-tron on Sunday is worth the $30.

$30 for 5 seconds on the jumbotron? Not much bang for your buck...
You'd get more out of lighting up a cigar with a $10 and $20.

It's up to you, but I said no. I trust you don't expect a whole lot of people to pay attention to it, but with a group of friends I'm sure it would bring smiles. But 30 bucks? No thanks.

It's cute if you want to surprise someone, or if I did it for my kid. My husband did it for my birthday last year and honestly I hope he doesn't do it this year--buy me flowers instead! :D

well, the money does go to charity which makes a difference to me, and alone is bang for the buck. In my case it was worth it because they mis-spelled Guyute's name and gave us free tix to a game to make up for it lol. I can't say Guyute was too impressed with his name up in lights though ;)

I did not know the money went to charity. Is it the Canes and Community foundation, or something else?

Oh, well if it goes to charity, that makes a difference. I'd say spring for it then, if you want.
