With the recent weather, I was curious as to what your favorite outdoor activity is when snow/ice is on the ground.. now or as a child!

and if you want to share favorite memories, please do so.

My favorite memories are of being out of school for a week, building a fire outside and sledding as long as my mom would let us. Cold, hard, wet gloves and clothes but who cared? Then coming inside to a nice warm house and something warm to drink... and mom's TLC.. my mom is gone now (my dad is too), so these are great memories.

Sledding and tubing, definitely sledding and tubing. How I wish I had a decent snowtube of sorts...

Yea, I'm big on skating, but I've never done it outdoors (I'm a North Carolina boy!)

I went for sledding :)
When we were in high school in New York with lots of snow, we used to always take the lunch trays and use them to slide down the steep hill. Great fun assuming you could stop before smacking into the building heh

Ha! We did that in college. There were some really steep stairs near the cafeteria and sometimes they would have some much snow and ice they'd make a perfect ramp. The problem was they led into a tunnel that went under the street and we never thought about how we were going to get out of it (with the stairs a big ice ramp) until we were already down there.

My last "wintery" memory entailed me losing a dare and being forced to run outside in my underwear and build a snowman on my head. Stupid ol' dare! Stupid friends! Stupid snow in my bra!

Seriously, have you ever actually read those things? Personally, I think the basis for all love relationships should be equal parts greed, neediness and good old fashioned hot-and-cold. :vamp:

As for literature, I will only place my trust in the love experts of Tiger Beat and Bop magazines. They're on the inside track, like what each member of New Kids on The Block's favorite color is, what brand of hair gel they use, and what they would do if they had a million dollars. Crucial information.

I have to go with sledding, sometimes called 'sliding' here. You don't have to worry about any equipment other than a cheap sled. Lately, the only time we seem to get any packing snow is when it's coming down to hard to see your hand in front of your face.
