Okay, so in my fantasy league at officepools.com, I finished 10th out of 10! lol, but I get the first pick in the playoff draft.

We get 6 forwards, 3 d men, and a goalie.

who should I go after with my FIRST PICK OVERALL :D?

Glen Murray...A longshot, but the guy has had some great point games this year...

Goalie--Roy (of course), but keep Eddie Eagle in mind

man, Glen Murray has been stellar hasn't he?? I have him on 2 out of 3 fantasy leagues. 81 games, 42 goals, 47 assists, +7, 62 PIM, 28 PPP. He's ranked 17th in Yahoo Leagues. The only problem is I don't think Boston will last long in the playoffs. though, my leagues all stop before playoffs so I don't know the rules. Here are the top ten in Yahoo Rankings:
1. Naslund
2. Bertuzzi
3. Brodeur
4. Forsberg
5. Hejduk
6. Fedorov
7. Hossa
8. Modano
9. Lalime
10. Turco

Personally, I tend to go for goalies with a great pick. I can tell you I did Way better in the league that I have Roy, Turco, and Roloson than I did in the league that I had Hedburg, Irbe, and Boucher in.

I did best with Roy-Brodeur-Weekes (recently replaced by Dunham), but i certainly can't complain a bit with the results i'm getting from Khabibulin-Kolzig-Esche at this point on my other team.

My first pick would be Brodeur. Dudeman always steps up during the off-season, and if he can outdo the regular season he's had, watch out! My second choice would be Khabibulin.

How do the stats in your league divide out? In Yahoo, goaltenders account for a huge percentage of your points. If your league is likewise, i would concentrate my firepower there.

I ran one this year Turby. We will have a couple of slots open IF you promise to play ALL year. The league went really well, and there were only 2 or 3 people who dropped out (though one of those never went back in after October 9th *sigh*)

speaking of that,

Congrats to Mo for winning it all!
Lets Go Canes also deserves props!

need to lobby to yahoo this offseason, to implement an option for the commish to breakup a team, and dole out players.

doesn't help much in a head to head league, when you need an even amount of teams... but having several teams with decent players that never play really stinks.

worth a shot anyway.

good luck in the playoffs tommy. I wouldn't be too depressed. Mellanby has been having a very solid season. Rex should step it up a notch or 3 against toronto. Comrie will probably be out after the 1st round, but should add a few points. overall, you don't have a lot of huge names, but you got brodeur, and some solid contributors. not bad.

I did Yahoo fantasy football a while back and was dead last...but I assume that it's the same system?

I finished first in my league in Yahoo Fantasy Football this past year: I was 13-3 in the regular season, mostly thanks to Brett Favre.

Yea, I had many that should have been good but had only mediocre seasons....Brady as QB...Randy Moss just to name a few! I was 1-15.

How many people are in this LGC league?

Congrats to Mo for winning it all!

Thanks, Shell. The league was a blast, and for the most part, a good, competitive one. LGC had one hell of a season taking the President's Trophy (or should that be the 'Shell' trophy?) and that final round in the playoffs could have gone either way... thank the maker Khabibulin really hit his stride or it wouldn't have even been close.

And the semis were even worse... only because Edmonton won that one game in OT did i advance, because a loss or a tie would have had me sweeping up peanuts.

I can't wait until next year. Hopefully some of us can get some Hurricane players on our team this time...

I had a ball playing fantasy hockey with you guys...I hated to lose in the finals to MO, but his goaltending whooped mine. I knew I was in trouble when Thibault went down. Can't wait to do it again next year.

Here was my team for part/most/the end of the year (I made to many trades and pickups to count, so I'll list who I had a majority of the time or when it counted the most):
Sakic, Thorton, White, Rucchin
Bertuzzi, Naslund, Leclair, Amonte, Mike Johnson, A. Johannson, Anson Carter,
Gonchar, Jovanovski, Leetch, Ozolinsh, Sydor,
Thibault, Lalime

I'd love to have a real lineup like that in Canes uniforms!!!
