I tried this last night and then screwed the whole thing up. So here goes again.
Of our existing Vet Dmen, which one do you think is most important to keep, or which one would YOU keep?
The poll only supports 1 choice, so pick who you think is most important.
My apologies to whomever voted before I screwed the other one up. There were a couple of votes.

I have a very tough time choosing between Heddy & Hill.
they're both Must Keeps, imvho. but, I voted for Heddy in the poll. His speed and the ability to lead a rush is something that all teams push to have, and most don't (from their Dmen).
Giving Heddy up takes away a Large factor in our game.... which is already severly lacking.

I love Bret for his skating speed, but I had to go with Sean because of his offensive contributions.

I picked Hedican. He's the best skater on the team and although his puck handling skills tend to piss me off at times, he has something that I don't feel any other d-man on the roster can replace.
My second pick would probably be Wesley except for his contact status and price tag. But he is the most solid defenseman on this team, IMO.
I value Hill's toughness and scoring and I think Ward had been playing awesome under Lavi before his injury. But all those guys (Hill, Wesley and Ward) are similar types of d-men, IMO. Hedican is a different type and one we need.
EDIT: Or I could have just said I agree with Guyute.

I had to go with Hill too. Tough poll. I wouldn't want to part with Hill, Hedican or Wesley, but Hill really seems to fit in PL's system very nicely.

It boiled down to Hill and Hedican for me too. It is a tough choice.
I wonder if Hill would resign for a nice deal (Canes budget wise) because his wife's family is here and he'd like to stay?

Very tough indeed.. I also went with Hedi because of the characteristics mentioned above.. Can we make Hilly an offenseman so I don't have to choose ;) Too bad you can't add Hedi's speed to Hill's play or the man would be a maniac lol.
Speaking of D, I have been wholly impressed by Rourke!
If anyone can, Hedi-can. :D *puns horribly* *dies*

Bret. :) I always feel so much better when I see him on the ice. He doesn't get it right all the time, but I really do trust his judgment.

Wallin. His game continues to improve more than the others. besides, he's a playoff scoring machine. :-)
