Guess I'm the only one psyched. Ordered Center Ice just so we can watch Ronnie tonight. Even recording it...it's going to be a classic - him on the Leafs playing against the Penquins....even more of a classic if Toronto takes the Cup! :D

You're not the only one Rons#1...I too am happy for him, and hope he does well, whether or not he gets the Cup.

I know you are kiddo! We'll probably be the only ones rooting for Toronto in the playoffs :D

Sorry but I am stickely for Devils, Avalanche, and Tampa this playoff season
More for tampa though
A built team winning the cup! LETS GO BUILT TEAMS
If you'd like to argue the avs are a bought team fair enough, but most of thier 1st 2 lines went thru the system and we're developed by the Av's

you bought CI at the end of the season? wow. now That's dedicated. saw an ad last night for half-price (about $80 I guess) for the rest of the season... which his 12 games, give or take.. and the first round of the playoffs. bit steep.

I buy CI at the end of each season. I purchase a whole season tho, just starts at the end of the season before the playoffs. Last year when the playoffs finished, I found that I had CI baseball as well. I didn't ask for it, and was not billed separately for it, so I got a year of hockey and baseball for the price of hockey. I don't know if that was a mistake, but I am certainly hoping it happens again when I re-up in a couple of weeks.

I'll be watching/taping (have some stuff to do at home) as well. But I hope the Penguins can compete and extend their winning streak. It would be a nice thing for their fans to end the season on a nice stretch (I wish the same for us).
I don't really have a favorite Cane, but Ronnie was probably the closest thing to one. No way can I pull for the Leafs. I've enjoyed watching them lose games all season (though not often enough), and that's not about to change. :D

Dedicated, crazy whatever - the trade happened all too fast and I just wasn't ready NOT to see Ronnie play anymore hockey. Got a great hubby - what can I say... :D

didn't CI carry the 1st and 2nd rounds last year? I know after that it's all ABC/ESPN.

They were supposed to, but they cut off the second round way too early.

My sincerest wish is that Ronnie scores lots of goals, picks up a ton of assists, is the best player for the Leafs in the playoffs..
and they get swept in the first round.

that was a technical error on the part of TWC as I recall because I called and they turned mine back on. I know that happened at some point. I could be wrong on when it happened, but it was during the playoffs and I think it was last season.

Depends if your a hockey nut,
If you're a hockey nut you would have had CI at the beginning of the season. Us hockey nuts have been watching 3 games a night since October. Believe me, I've gotten my money's worth.

BTW, what kind of weird prototype Bauer helmet is Toronto privy to? That's not a 5000 like Ron was wearing here, although it appears to have the back half of a 5000. The front vents are weird.

It's probably the latest and greatest in sportswear. Since Toronto is so hated because of their dirty tactics they need the extra protection just in case another Bertuzzi comes along

Again, as I said in the Francis Gets Traded thread (over in the quiet LGC...god, it feels so good to be back at this LGC. I was going mad at that other one ): It may only be one game, but Wednesday night's Leafs/Pens game is proof that my mojo may already be working. I figured and kidded with a few friends that now that I'm "cheering for the Leafs" through Ronnie, they will lose. :D
So, my "cheering for the Leafs" *could* be a good thing. ;) I would use "is", but as I said before, it's only one game...wouldn't it be nice to see more get added to that (and Ronnie rack up points in the process). :smoke:
Thanks for giving me another picture for my collection :D
Seconded.

From what I gather, Ron isn't a spokesperson for Franklin hockey anymore. Franklin has decided to stop producing hockey related equipment and Ron has just decided to wear what feels good. He's gone from wearing a CCM "Paul Henderson" style helmet, to a Bauer 3000, to the weird looking bucket he had on in his Leafs debut. He's also gone from wearing Franklin gloves to wearing Easton and his pants appear to be Bauer brand also.

yes they cover the 1st and 2nd (beside the error) but that error got me
the free baseball package!! they really screwed it up. I might have had
free Center Ice had I not moved!
Center Ice is the coolest! I am watching the L.A. Kings play the Ducks right now.
They are huge rivals being pretty close to each other.

My vote goes to HDNet hockey. Quality vs. quantity, I guess.
