Well, I've been here for a month or so.. and I dont think I ever really did this
I'm Dan, 19 from Jersey. Its hard to be a Canes fan here, especially when just about ALL my friends (except for 2 pens fans and a wings fan) are Devils fans. I follow Russian and all Junior leagues very close, so if you ever wonder about any juniors or upcoming draftees, just ask away. I play ice hockey, #61.. im sorry.. i like Rick Nash too ;) I'm just about always ready to talk about the Canes and have been a loyal fan all my life, which is pretty rare coming out of Jersey.
If you couldnt tell, I'm a huge Vrbata fan. My favorites are pretty much all the youngsters.. Vrbata, Vasicek, Staal and Willy. Though, before he left, I was a huge Kapanen fan. I look forward to enjoying many a chat with you all.

Welcome Dan! Husband is from the NJ cow country and unfortunately liked the Devils at one time :D Right now Toronto seems to be ranking the most on the p--p list but I guess it's like that with all sports fans - you have a favorite and one you love to hate....

Welcome, Dan! I'm not 19, but I was born and raised in NJ. Colesville, up near High Point State Park in northwestern NJ... Sussex County. What part are in/from?

Wow, Mookie, I'm from Branchville, Sussex County. I went to High Point High School, as i'd imagine you did being from there. How old are you?

**In Darth Vader voice** "Old enough to be your father" :D
Yes, I am a Wildcat alumni, too... that's so cool!! I hope our sports teams were better for your time there than they were while I was there. We had decent soccer and tennis teams, wrestling and track were okay, but the major sports - football, basketball and baseball - peee ewww! I wonder if we still hold the state record for worst basketball defeat(?). Franklin whooped us something like 120 - 30 back in the late 70's. :eek2: Luckily I was still on JV then.
Branchville, NJ. Quaint little town. And you guys (along with almost every other town) used to beat us in Little League and Babe Ruth League. Colesville was too small at the time to have there own Little League team, so I played just down the road from you for Beemerville, over by Space Farms Zoo (which is owned by my cousins). And you can't mention Branchville without talking about the Sussex County Fair (or what used to be the Branchville Fair) or Selective Insurance Company. I still have a couple sisters and brother-in-law who work there.
Ah yes, good times, good times. :D

Ahhh yes "Cow Chip Bingo" - that might explain the smell on those humid days...guess you never get rid of it huh? :eek2:
What happened to that chess set we got Mooks? He's gone back to his old unsanitary gaming ways.

Welcome Dan :)
Poor Mookman ~ he probably forgot all about the chess set we gave him and reverted back to his old ways. That's what old people do. That, and smoosh people's toes with their zimmer frames and pee in the house plants.
Good times, good times.

Nope, surprisingly, I still have the chess set. I just don't open the box anymore because it smells like trout soup. I'm fixin' to trade it in for a pair of yellow boots. :p
