Big Joe's Off Ramp Motel...That was pretty funny. I wonder who does shack with him.

I really think this is a great thing, getting these guys some experience. If nothing else, it helps Lowell become a better team, eventually making all there decent. The paper mentioned Bayda and Bruno as possible NHLers...I would go further and add Malec, McDonald (in a 3rd liner role), and Zig to the list who could make the team next year.

Don't you just see (and pray) us getting a decent pick-up in the offseason. A winger, maybe on his way down, who can still score. A young guy who did score, but hasn't lately. Result of an Irbe trade. Result of a free agent signing. I just see something more.

good article :)

keep in mind that by the time camp rolls around, we should have (hopefully) all of our injured players back. that makes the prospect of making the Canes a whole lot harder for the youngsters.

I do expect to see Bayda and Malec here for a full season next year... but I don't think Zigo will make the cut, I think C.Mac will continue to be used on a "need a fill in" basis, and I think Bruno is a bit of a toss-up. I like the kid a lot... but the question becomes who do we sit/move in order to give these kids a spot.

Kurka I doubt will make the team as a full timer quite yet, he needs more time. DeFauw and Heerema will have a hard time as well. If Brendl works on his speed in the offseason and drops about 15 lbs, I expect he'll get a spot.

Lot of young kids in the forward role.... and Very few spots.
camp should be interesting. if anyone wants a spot, they're going to have to play out of their skull. which is good for them, and for us.

here's to hoping that we don't lose 200+ man games to injury next season.

Here's to the fans in Lowell hoping you do not lose 200+ man games next year. I do not even know half of the team we have up here.
I also see Hereema having a good chance of making the team. I think he has the talent.

Who has Lowell brought up from Florida? How do they look? Did they bring up Anthony?

Believe it or not, not a lot of players. They have actually brought players in from trades, and pick ups from other ECHL teams.
From Florida they have -
Don Smith - Good size and puck handling skills. Does not use his body to much.
A. Battaglia - Is up here, but did not play either game I saw this weekend.
Marty Johnston - I love this kid. He is only 5-8, but is willing to bang his body and get in anyone's face. Doesn't matter if they are 6-8. Has a good shot, and decent puck handling skills too.
Sean Curry - Brought back up. His game seems to have matured. Plays more smartly now. Not as many rookie mistakes. Throws a nasty hip check too.
That is it for right now. Everyone else came from somewhere else.
It has been a strange season up here!!!
