Just an idea, but some local sports bar ought to try to capitalize on the fan support shown yesterday by having some sort of Playoff gathering. Maybe show some of the highlights from the Raising Canes DVD or one of the playoff games from last year or something. I bet there are enough diehards in the area that it could make some money. Ideas? Questions? Comments? Anybody? Bueller?

not a bad idea, and might be good for some folks...
but for me, most of my playoff watching is done at home... where I can flip between games as often as I like, stopping on whatever game I like.
plus it's a lot cheaper, which I welcome, after spending so much money all season long.

though I think a cool idea would be to show some of last years' cup run on nights where there aren't any playoff games going on.
wouldn't mind watching some of that toronto series again. :D
luckily though, I think my father-in-law still has a bunch of those on tape..

So which game do the assembled masses think would be best? Game 6 vs. Toronto? Game 1 vs. Detroit? The Miracle at Molson? I think for sheer drama, Game 5 vs. Jersey would be good. Plus, I was there! woot! (that was for you, Rich)

for me, game 6 vs toronto was one of the biggest highlights.
I can still picture sitting in Rudino's, in awe... hearing Chuck say "And the Carolina Hurricanes are going to the Stanley Cup Finals. Unnnnbe-lievable!"
as bad as this year was... I'm still happy beyond words that I was finally able to witness a SCF in person. wow.
lotta good games in that run to choose from though. that jersey game was pretty intense.

Most def. Game 6 with Toronto, when I read what you wrote rememebering it all like literally took my breath away. I just cant get over it really being as bad as has been this year with it being sooo good last year. All I know is I love my Canes, and get em boys next year. I am so glad they have kept a great composure and a positive attitude. I think that is what is so great about our team, and our FANS!!! :spin:

My vote's for Toronto game 6. That game had everything! Superb goaltending, huge bursts of joy, "KABERLE GIVES THE PUCK AWAY!!!!", remote control throwing frustration, (Sundin's late goal), followed by one final goal to end it all. Great game.

Toronto game 6 was huge...but the Molson Miracle was a great game. Either of those are worthy. I'd give the nod to the Molson Miracle.

Oh man...such a hard decision...but in the end, I'd have to go with game six against Toronto myself. That game had everything, excitement, drama, and just sheer happiness and celebration at the end. Though, game one against Detroit is a fine pick too...that image of Ronnie getting that game-winning goal will forever be embedded in my mind.
Edit: Molson Miracle isn't a shabby choice either...there are JUST TOO MANY good games to choose from!! :spin:

Id vote for the miracle at Molson, game 6 vs Toronto, or game 5 vs NJ
or for the sheer drama of it, despite the outcome, game 3 vs detroit

The Miracle at Molson was my favorite too, nothing beats Cole slamming himself against the glass after tying it.
And it would be nice to watch it and not get so discouraged during the 1st & 2nd periods this time!

I say Miracle at Molson. I was at JoeVision that night and kept checking the score and couldn't believe when the Canes won it.
Just wondering, anyone by chance have any of these games on tape that they'd like to send up to MI  I'd pay of course...
I'm sure they would get tons of fans if they did that!!
