It's in German, of course, but it says Jamie Storr has signed a one-
year contract with the Mannheim Eagles.

Hmmmm - wonder who our backup will be.... (ponder, ponder)

Good luck to Jamie.. hopefully someone over there can teach him how to keep the puck out of the net.. he is a really nice guy...

I fully expect to Arch and Kevin going head to head at camp in August.. :spin:

Herzlichen Glückwünsch, Jamie!

Hopefully he finds the game that apparently spent the last year "als Gast der Russische Regierung" (as one of my college German profs would say).

Neat opportunity for Jaime...he'll get to be a #1 there...
Isn't Mannheim where Andy Roach plays?

Viel Erfolg in Mannheim, Jamie!

Good luck to Jamie. Maybe he'll get on a team who can score some goals.

Wow, that's cool.

Maybe I will get to see a nhl goalie live when mannheim plays the cologne sharks :spin:

Hey, that would be great Mikus! I assume hockey isn't very big over there...what kind of crowd does the Kölner Haie get every game? Do you go often?

I have to admit that I wasn't at a Haie game at all because DEL hockeys sucks...

but if there's a world class nhl goalie like Jamie Storr I'm definitively interested :D

I think the crowd is about 10000 every game

Yea, you'll have to go!
I know that some NHL players were considering going to the DEL if there is a lockout in the NHL next year...Jeremy Roenick is one that I remember. Maybe it'll get better! :spin:

Mikus, you're in Koln? I made it up for a game last season, the Haie beat my Adler rather badly, if I recall.

I'm in Wiesloch, near Mannheim/Heidelberg, and will be being my season tickets for the Adler next week.

If I have time I'll try to post here about how Storr is doing once the season gets started.
