I a considering a bid on Ebay on this item (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50120&item=4130619836&rd=1)...but I just have a few questions.
Was this, in fact, given out to attendees of the finals?
and....Is this a limited edition collectible...or something I can buy for $2.00 at the Eye?
Just wanted an unbiased opinion...:nanner:

Yes it was, and I have not seen any at the Eye.
I still have mine--I'd have sold it, but for the immense sentimental value attached to it.
Not that I like being reminded of pain or anything.

Thanks Camille!
Personally, I need to be reminded of the pain. It's what keeps me backing the team and having so much hope for 'tomorrow.' Plus, the coin would look good next to my bobbleheads. :spin:

Yes, it's the real deal, and I'm surprised it's going for so low. Get it while you can.

I'm doing my best...one more hour to go!
And if anyone from here outbids me.... .
This is my first experience with Ebay..I must say it's quite addicting. We've got the whole family bidding on things. :D

I really enjoyed the pint glass freebie from the finals. I feel like I really earned getting one since I almost got stampeded while waiting in line (and my friend almost got in a fight with a Russian carrying a sign about Fedorov returning the Cup to the "motherland", LOL). It's my favorite SCF trinket.
I'm an Ebay virgin myself, but I convinced my sister to buy a 9" TV/DVD combo she'd been looking for. She got a great price and it came new in the box.

Thanks for the help everyone!

Yeah...not to be a eBay advertiser, but it is awesome for so many things. I always buy theme park tickets there. You can save at least 50%. Pretty sweet.
The pint glasses are nice. I actually left early that game, went through the outdoor line twice and got 2 cups. Pretty nice!

Sorry Turb. I didn't even know you had your eye on the coin until I saw this thread. Congrats! As for the trout-cicles... I USED to have an addiction ;) . I went through the program and got the t-shirt upon getting clean to prove it.
If anyone else has one of these coins that they could part with PLEASE let me know.
Aaryn
PS: BTW, Turb, who is "marilynstieneke" anyway?

Dearest mother. We only use one screenname.
And if you really want one, Aaryn...maybe I'll put it up for sale again...with a minimum bid of $100.

I have a question for all you Ebay-Pay Pal experts...
I tried to pay for this using Paypal...and for 3 days it told me my payment was 'pending.' Now I go in tonight and see that this payment was 'denied.' Is this something that I'm doing wrong?

I have a 121 star rating on eBay, so I don't know if I'd call myself an expert, but I do have enough experience to know PayPal sucks and there are a LOT of people in the eBay community who refuse to use it for reasons like you are having. I'm not sure what the issue is in your case, but I have just given up using it altogether and pay for the majority of my auctions with money orders.

I'll only pay online (paypal or bidpay), because I REFUSE to go to the post office. makes me want to bring some serious weaponry anytime I have to go. Like at lunch time, when 423 other people also go, and they have ONE person working. grrrr.
I've never had a problem with paypal. The reason there's a delay is if you use it like a credit card. If you do instant funds transfer, it's automatic.

:p
Ended up that the guy didn't have the right (premium?) account to be able to accept echecks...so I had to enter in my debit card and get it authorized by Paypal, which took a few days. But I ended up getting the coin...a little over a month after the auction ended.
I'm like you, Guyute. I try to shy away from auctions that don't take Paypal or another type of online pay...however much I want that cheap widget, it's hardly worth the time and gas to go to the post office and stand in line for a money order. I think that's part of the romance of ebay...buying cheap stuff without ever having to go anywhere.

Here's another one (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=56071&item=5112553167&rd=1) that ends in four hours. No bids, so it looks like first bidder takes it.
I'd grab it, but he doesn't take paypal. I have to want something really bad to go get a money order.[/url]

I hope this isn't too late for anyone that may want this...
It's the Ron Francis Night commemorative coin...It has 20 some odd minutes left on it, and is now officially out of my price range...but at only $10, it's still at a good price. Hope someone picks it up!

Ah rats. I so want that...and at ten dollars, it was a steal! (sighs) Just goes to show that I need to check E-Bay much more than I do.
