There are four caniacs who need some help deciding where to get our season tickets for next year. What sections do you recommend for the cheapieas? Just curious.

304 or 325. Center ice and worth the extra $3 (I think that is the difference between upper corner and balcony premiere). Either that or the two sections on either side... and the trick is to get down as low as possible. Also, the first row of 304 (and 325, I think) is C, so keep that in mind.

We sat in 332 this past season, which was nice. It's one row off of the goal zone, but you still have a great view of the ice.

If you decide to go lower level endzone...113 is a great section..

I sit in the very last row of 322. While they are no where near as good as Kat's seats (front row of 304....I'm betting hard to get) they are really good, IMO. No where near as far off the ice as the same location on the west side because of the press boxes. It's about on the blue-line.
Honestly though, I don't think I've ever sat in a bad seat....and I've sat all over. The farther down you can get in the 300 level the better (we like our last row because we can stand up though) but you also have to watch for the railings and glass that can sometimes be in your way. But if you are selecting your own seats you'll be able to scope that out.

Gotta agree with Kat on that one. Section 325 where I sat was dead on the blueline . I was on row e which basically took the glass out of play, and no net to look through.

we've been in 314, near the front, for a couple of years now. unfortunately, you have to be a previous STH to renew there.. but we love it.
I would like to be around on the side, on the front row... like where kat's seats are... but we're pretty darn happy being able to keep the $12 tickets, so I imagine we'll probably stay.

Yeah, I think that our seats are not available... but given this season, checking on it might not be a bad idea. I know that the 6 seats on one side are taken, but there was a little season ticket holder note on the seat about 3 down on the other side.
We are spoiled rotten... first row of the balcony, right smack on the center red line, and $22 a game. We share 4 seats with about 5 other people (opuntia and her hubby are the owners... they got them because they drove to Greensboro for two years), so we go to about 20 games or so. I would love to be a full STH in my own right, but fiance would never go for going to 41 games a year... plus, we just love those seats. :)

While I love our seats in front row center 304, I really haven't sat anywhere in the RBC that's bad. We sat in the top of a corner section (336?) for the last game, and it was just fine. I think they do some kind of seat pick where you can go in and try out different sections if you like.
We got our seats by my hubby being around 30th on the list of original season ticket holders - I can't say I went to a ton of games the first year in Greensboro, but by the end of the second year I was a rabid fan!

I'm in first row of balcony section 325 - it's close to the blue line on end where canes shoot twice. Nearest parking section is smack dab across from entrance to the beltline so I can exit easily after game.
I love my seats!!! Unfortunately, I may not be able to renew though- my family flaked out on me for splitting next years tickets (shameless plug here: please check out my posting on ticket exchange...I'm looking for someone to share/split my 2 tickets for next year).

CanesFFan.. row A (mezzanine), or row D of 325 (first standard-priced row)?
After some internal debate, we're going to forego our 3 24-gamers in 325 in exchange for 3 10-gamers in LL North. I'll probably pick up a different 10-game set for myself, in that same section.
Admittedly, I've had some problems the attitude of the attendants that work in lower level north. We used to enjoy going down to the practice end before the game (making sure to enter through the designated aisles only).. and the people who sat in those sections never had any problem with it. I usually stayed at the top of the aisle, just letting my kids go down to watch the practice.
But lately we received horribly rude treatment from the attendants at the top. I'd love to play a tape recording of the attendant who said 'Just because attendance is light tonight doesn't mean you can sneak down where you don't belong.' and 'I think you should stay in your own section.' This is with two kids, and before the Canes came out for practice.
So we've decided to make sure we have tickets to one of those sections, next year. I may be a bit rude as I wave the LL ticket at the attendant so that he can't say anything. I'll see 20 games, the girls will see 10 each, for the same price as 72 games in the uppers. Nothing will interfere with our interest in watching the practice up close. And there's always the chance of a puck drop!

Sorry that you've had some trouble with the lower level ushers. I know someone here (hyena) also had some problems at some point this season when the policy changed somehow. The ushers I've spoken to have never been anything less than nice (but I sit in that section).
Having said that, I definitely noticed more people "squatting" in seats as this season progressed. I don't really have a problem with it per se, but it does become a hassle when someone arrives at their seats after the game has begun and then they squatters have to file OUT of the row and then the seat holders have to file INTO the row. I've seen people get booted and then move down to other seats only to have the whole musical chairs begin again - while the game is going on.
I don't have a problem when the seating area in question is so wide open that you only need to move down the row to get to the next vacant seat, but when it fills up, it's a pain for everyone.
Of course, I know that's not what you've done stewart, I'm just suspecting that people have complained and that the ushers are merely doing whatever the building mgmt has asked them to do - probably due to inconsiderate patrons to begin with.

Sitting in the last row is great because you can stand up all game if you want (which is what I did). I had tickets in a corner section in the 300's and you couldn't see sometimes because of those big NC State jersey banner things. But other than that, sitting in the upper bowl is great!!! I'd love to get tickets in the 300's, center ice.

We absolutely love our seats in 328. Out seat mates are great and we even got a write up in Sunday's paper by Luke Decock concering our spirit and tha great chants we have. The view is great and best of all they are only $17 a piece for the season. We are definitely renewing them again for 2003-2004.

I sit in 111 and just a hint for next year. If they won't let you come in through the deck, go through 109, cut across 110 and down to the glass in 111.
I'm sorry they were rude. You should be able to get close to the glass during warm ups if you want. The game hasn't started yet, after all. I can tell you with certainty that the people watching in 111 don't sit there for the most part and that is fine as long as my seat is vacant before the puck drops ;)

If you decide to go lower level endzone...113 is a great section..
We really liked Section 111 -- Right behind the Canes goal. Got to watch Weekes/Irbe twice. And pretty good for seeing much of the action down in that zone.
I'm sorry they were rude. You should be able to get close to the glass during warm ups if you want. The game hasn't started yet, after all. I can tell you with certainty that the people watching in 111 don't sit there for the most part and that is fine as long as my seat is vacant before the puck drops
Very true -- there were always people watching from the glass during warm ups... That's not usually a problem. I don't think anyone really cares if it's in the second period and people sneak in to sit where clearly no one is sitting. But there's nothing more frustrating than having a group of 10 or so people standing during the game because they cannot match the ticket to the chair. That's not even really a 'sneaking' issue -- just it's bad enough people do not realize that you shouldn't leave your seat during the play. So, sneak down, but just know where you're going .... :)
