Was there any doubt?

(not in my mind, at least...... he's pretty settled here. I'm sure his wife had some influence there)

If that is the case, then you might as well put Hill on the signed list as his wife is from this area!!!

heard a smidge of JR on 850 with Gold. I missed the first part. basically, he's glad O'Neill will be back. won't try to sign any of the first wave of UFA's. lot of one year deals throughout the league to be expected. power play should improve (and the question begging to be asked......). Gold is an ass. the Lakers have asked permission to talk with Coach K. OK, that last part was after JR signed off ;)

Today's paper indicates that Sean is going to shop around. Looks like he wants the multi-year deal. Seems like it wouldn't be much better shopping than pre trade deadline, so I hope it's just an exercise and he's back signed soon.

Happy about Wes ... he's one of our often unsung heroes (if you can have heroes on a recent bottom-of-the-pack team). I've always liked his game and the fact that he often sacrifices personal accomplishments for team ones.

Welcome back to the fold!

I'm happy about Wesley but feel we really need Hill as well...hopefully they can get that done also. He really fit into Lav's system well and went through even little goal scoring streaks where he scored on par, if not more than the forwards. That streak came out right after the game he played at the RBC Center against Dallas which was quite possibly one of the worst performances every by a D-man in the NHL. But he certainly finished the season off on a strong note and I hope we can keep him some way.

Well the good thing is with the uncertainty, I don't think he will get that multi-year deal that he wants.. good for us (hopefully), bad for him..

guess he was offered the same as Wesley ... that seems pretty fair. Completely different games, but I see their worth as equal. When Hill is scoring like he was the end of last year, his presence is felt more, but — like I said earlier — Wesley is a helluva stay-at-home d-man. Hopefully Danny Richmond makes it up in time to learn from both of them.
