We are officially out!

The Islanders tied the Leafs and we lost, so if is over.

I still think some good things came out of this year. We have seen that we have some young guys that have come to play. With Cole and Brindy coming back next year along with every other injured player, we should have a very good year.

It will be a very long summer though.

Gosh, it is kind of depressing to think about. Well, we'll always have the 2002 Eastern Conference Championship. :)

Yeah we're out and yeah, this didn't come as a surprise to anyone but I'm hoping the team can surprise some people next year with a return to form. I think we're all excited about getting EVERYONE back from injuries along with the talented new guys next year. Not to mention the up and coming talent of Vrbata along with what will possibly be a very emotional final season for Francis.

Despite the train wreck that took place this season, I still had fun and I'm definitely looking forward to next season!

The title of this thread is 'p.o.o.p.', after all.

On a similar note, the Pittsburgh Penguins were eliminated tonight as well.

The Buffalo Sabres, meanwhile, are still in the hunt, due to the games-in-hand factor. And their win over the Philadelphia Flyers sure helped their cause, as well.

Of course, it also put the Hurricanes back into last place. But that's another thread altogether.
