Faceoff.com has a poll today asking who we think will finish last overall. I voted for the Pens, but Carolina was the second top vote getter. Ah, when will this season be over so we can start planning for next year?

Right now you could add to this that noone in the NHL has scored fewer goals this season than Carolina...

However, over the past few weeks, I'd be willing to bet we'd be closer to thee middle of the pack in the scoring area.

Figured this could be considered on topic for this thread:
CBC SPORTS ONLINE - The NHL has chosen April 7 as the date for the NHL draft draw.
The draw, a weighted lottery system used to determine selection order for the first 14 picks of the NHL Entry Draft, will be held at the league's New York office.
Each of the clubs that fail to qualify for the playoffs is entered in the lottery. The team with the fewest regular-season points has the greatest opportunity to win the top pick (25 per cent).
The last-place team in the league, currently the Carolina Hurricanes with 61 points, can pick no lower than second overall.
Teams selected in the draw can only move up a maximum of four positions in the draft, while no team can drop more than one spot.
The 2003 NHL Entry Draft is scheduled for June 21 in Nashville.
