Apparently, the SHL and SEHL have merged, forming the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).

The teams are:
Knoxville Ice Bears - Knoxville, TN
Huntsville Havoc - Huntsville, AL
Winston Salem Polar Twins - Winston-Salem, NC
Asheville Aces - Asheville, NC
Cape Fear FireAntz - Fayetteville, NC

Macon Trax - Macon, GA
Jacksonville Barracudas - Jacksonville, FL
Orlando Seals - Orlando, FL.

Columbus, GA hasn't picked a name yet and Lakeland, FL may get a team as well.

They're still the Cottonmouths. They aren't changing their name. There's lots of mentions of the new league on their Website (http://www.cottonmouths.com).

I've seen them play. My brother lives in Columbus. The arena's old, though... like something out of Soviet Russia.
