I voted "no," because I think that their uniforms is the least of their concerns. I don't think they even deserve a 3rd jersey until they consistently make the playoffs! ;)

well the deal is whenever a team gets a 3rd jersey or say a new logo etc etc, some fans are gonna rush out so they can have the bestest stuff and newest stuff. They are mainly gimmicks to get people to spend money, something out team needs. :p

I voted "No", but wholeheartedly agree that if the Canes ever get a third jersey, it *better* not be like that horrid Stars one. That's a bull? Looks like a uterus to me... :sick: :lol:

Well, I'm glad I spent the time I have designing my third jersey concepts.

I voted yes, for obvious reasons. But also I think a new jersey, in addition to the traditional jerseys, will bring more attention to the team and possibly be the catalyst for a new era in Whalers/Hurricanes history. JMHO that sometimes change is good.

I think that MANY of the NHL teams' secondary logos are better than their primary — Canes, Sens, Isles (if you take tradition from the equation) — and some have parlayed that into cool third jerseys (Sens, for example) and others have servicable, tho maybe not as cool, third jerseys using secondary logos (Flames, Hawks, Oilers).

I would LOVE to see us add the flag logo to a third jersey, tho the only thing I don't like is it would prolly have to be black, and I'm not much for that.

Fully agree here too. I voted "No" because of my not being sure the Canes will have a third jersey AND my feeling like thinking about such a thing right now is not really different from the NHL considering a new logo when the CBA needs to be solved first and foremost. But, when the CBA gets solved and all, I think the Canes should have a third jersey because just about everyone else does. With that said, I hope the Canes give your concepts a second look Aaryn... ;)

I'd like a 3rd jersey, maybe black or silver with the Hurricane flags (two of them.... one is only a tropical storm ;) ), i just don't forsee it happening anytime soon.

I'm not as familiar with the Hawkwind stuff. Just getting back into the whole Motorhead sound again. It's been a while...

When and if you ever want to sample Lemmy's Hawkwind work, I highly recommend Hall of the Mountain Grill and Warrior On the Edge of Time. Both are very awesome albums...and are in strong contention for my most favorite ever. Though, it's *really* hard for me to choose since I equally love the Lemmy and Robert Calvert eras of Hawkwind.

I haven't stopped working on my concepts for a third. I hope that they will be considered for submission too. The only barriers that seems to be standing in the way right now are the lack of a CBA and the Hurricanes themselves.
