Got bored at work yesterday and did some searching for area hockey. IF you need to appease your hockey fix, here are the closest alternatives:
Charlotte Checkers- Tickets range from $9-$20. First home game is Oct 30th and Cricket Arena. against the Columbia Inferno. Charlotte is the AA team for the New York Rangers.
Fayetteville FireAntz (Formerly known as the Cape Fear FireAntz)- Couldn't find ticket prices, heard they were only $5. Hey, we might be able to play for this team. They only have 9 players signed for this season!!
