You have to hit the right-arrow key repeatedly to accelerate, and when the hearse gets to the red area hit the space bar to slam on the brakes.

There's a trick to the monkey game...I will not reveal what it is yet. But will say that having been a couple of years since I've tried my hand at that, I am finding getting back my groove on it a little hard.
