View Full Version : DesRochers signs with San Antonio Rampage (AHL contract)

September 26, 2004 - SAN ANTONIO – Sept. 26, 2004 – San Antonio Rampage Director of Hockey Operations Matt Loughran announced today that the club has signed goaltenders Travis Scott and Patrick DesRochers, forwards Josh Olson, Serge Payer and defenseman Joel Kwiatkowski to AHL contracts for the 2004-05 season.

DesRochers, 24, appeared in 50 games with the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL) last season, posting a 2.92 goals against average and recording a professional career high 23 wins. For his NHL career, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound goalie has played in 11 games with the Phoenix Coyotes (2001-03) and the Carolina Hurricanes (2002-03). A first round draft pick of the Coyotes (14th overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft), DesRochers spent parts of four seasons with both Phoenix and its AHL affiliate in Springfield, Mass. before being traded to Carolina on Dec. 31, 2002 in exchange for goaltender Jean-Marc Pelletier.
